Isabel Celis

Little Girl Disappears From Home

From a contributor on Reddit:

Isa was a 6 year old first grader when she went missing in April of 2012 in Tucson, Arizona.

Timeline:

4/20/12, 2300: Isabel goes to bed. Sergio Celis (Isa's father) falls asleep on the couch watching TV.
4/21/12, 0500: Sergio wakes up, goes from the couch to his bedroom, goes back to sleep.
4/21/12, early morning: Isa's mom (Rebecca) leaves for work, does not check in on Isa. (Note: Rebecca is an RN, as am I, and I personally don't find this suspicious. In fact I'm writing this up at work right now and I did not check on my daughters before I left at 0630 this morning).
4/21/12, 0800: Sergio goes to Isa's room to wake her up, she is not there. Her window was open and the screen removed.

4/21, 0814: Sergio Celis calls 911 to report Isa is missing. Warning, this is just frickin awful.
4/21, later morning: Rebecca returns home. She makes a frantic 911 call. Rebecca's other son/Isa's brother Sergio Jr makes a call as well. Rebecca's part of the call starts at 3:52.
5/11/12: Police say Sergio "voluntarily" has agreed to stay away from his two sons. He has moved out of the house and has no contact with them. No explanation by police or CPS is given.
5/14/12: 911 calls made by the family are released by the media (links above). For me, these calls are what cement Sergio's involvement in Isa's disappearance.

5/17/12: Police reveal that CPS visited the Celis home in December 2011, months before Isa disappears. No further information is given about what that visit was regarding.
5/25/12: Police disclose that "blood-like stains" were found on Isa's floor.

The family of Isabel Celis, the 6-year-old Tucson girl reported missing in 2012, can finally begin the mourning process.

Police confirmed Friday that investigators had located Isabel’s remains and the girl’s family later issued a statement thanking the community for support and asking for privacy in the wake of the news.
"We want to thank the community for the support they have continued to show for Isa over the years and for refusing to give up hope," the family said. "Now is our time to mourn. We ask for our privacy during this time so that we can do that."

Police have not revealed many details aside from those shared in a brief news conference Friday afternoon.

Here’s what we know so far:

What led police to the remains?
Tucson Police Chief Chris Magnus would not share any specifics on how investigators came to locate the remains but he said it was “not by happenstance.”
Isabel’s remains were found in a rural area of Pima County sometime within the past six to eight weeks. An out-of-state lab used DNA to confirm her identity.

FROM Tucson.com

More than five years after Isabel Celis went missing from her bedroom in the middle of the night, Pima County medical examiners have officially ruled her death a homicide.
The heavily-redacted autopsy report, which was released Tuesday, says that the 6-year-old’s cause of death was “homicide by unspecified means.”

Human remains discovered in a rural area of Pima County in early March were matched to Celis through DNA testing, according to the report.

The bones that were recovered were redacted from the report, but an included chart of a human skeleton show part of a pelvis and several skull bones that are a darker color than the rest of the body. The report also mentions an upper jawbone and six teeth, that were compared to Celis’ dental records. While the comparison didn’t produce a match, it showed that the person “cannot be excluded” as Celis, the report shows.

The autopsy began March 4 and included pathologists, forensic anthropologists and Tucson police employees, who at one point, returned to the location the remains were found to collect more evidence, the report says.

==================
I am always attracted to cold cases that have been generally ignored by the media.  I hate the media in general because most of their decisions in regards to disseminating information is discriminatory and driven by profits.  How can they get the most eyeballs?  If I thought like this then I'd only do cases that are presented on popular news programs.  This little girl has been all but ignored.  She was taken from her bedroom, like so many unfortunate little girls, and found dead not long later.  Like the Jessica Lundsford case, which really upset me when it happened, this case is another heart breaker.

ISABEL CELIS FOUND MISSING

This chart almost tells the entire story.  The seventh house ruler, her abductor, is in the twelfth with the Moon (her secondary ruler) and the Sun (fourth house ruler).  This shows someone sneaking up on this child.  Gemini rising shows a very young child with Mercury in the eleventh together with the tenth house ruler and disposed of by Mars in the fourth.  This configuration shows her in the company of a male authority figure.  I know a lot of people suspect the father but I am not so sure.  His markers are nearby but the actual abductor appears to be someone else; someone who sneaked into that house.

Pluto is in the eighth and Saturn is in the fifth.  Together this spells a sexual predator who, from the first, chose this little girl for rape and murder.  The eighth house ruler in the fifth describes death during a sexual act.  Jupiter with the Moon shows direction towards her and it seems he saw her at his place of employment, described by the node in the sixth.  This configuration leads me to rule out her father because someone of this aptitude would certainly have done this before.  I am not saying her father was not molesting her because I have no proof of this either way, yes or no, but there appears to be another person on this night, one that is in the home with the child but also with the parents nearby.

Saturn in Libra ruling the eighth house cusp describes suffocation or smothering.  This appears to have been employed during a sex act, as shown by Saturn in the fifth along with Venus in Gemini in the first.  This person is attracted to very young girls.  He likes the fantasy of being older, more experience, guiding the girls like a father would but with none of the kindness or love.  Pluto in the eighth at the time of her disappearance is a marker showing she was killed almost immediately and in a violent fashion.

Because of the markers in this chart, I will say again that I do not beleive her father killed her.  He does look guilty from the reports but he is probably not.

ISABEL CELIS TOD

This chart shows her moment of death.  Mars at the first house cusp combined with her ruler (Mercury)in the eighth with Uranus.  This shows a sudden, rapid death by violence so we know he did not confine her, retain her, torture her, etc...but raped and killed her swiftly, within hours.   Actually, by noon on the same day she was taken.

Neptune in Pisces rules the seventh from the sixth house.  This, unfortunately, indicates this is someone unknown, not known to the family or anyone associated with the child, and will very well not be caught.  This is a person who lives in a fantasy world, may be a drunk or a drug abuser, unsuspecting in appearance as most likely small, dark and sanguine.

Pluto in the fifth trine to Mars in the first shows the sex act combined with swift assault and death.

Beverly Potts

Little Girl Disappears a Few Feet From Home

From "Missing... Please Find Us"; Facebook Page:

Blond, blue-eyed Potts was described as a shy, quiet and responsible child, fascinated by the performing arts, who was due to enter the fifth grade in fall 1951. At the time she was living on Linnet Avenue with her parents Robert and Elizabeth Potts and her 22-year-old sister Anita.

On August 24, she and her friend and neighbor Patsy Swing were given permission to see the Showagon, an annual summer children's performance event being held that evening in Halloran Park, less than a quarter of a mile from the girls' homes. This was a special treat, as the park was generally considered unsafe after dark, when large trees dimmed the surrounding streetlights. It was also frequented by the local vagrant population.

The two girls initially went to the park on their bicycles around 7 pm. At 8 pm, deciding it would be easier to maneuver on foot through the large crowds in attendance, they returned home to drop off their bikes, arriving back at the show sometime before 8:30 pm. At about 8:45 pm, Swing, who had promised to be home before dark, suggested they leave for home. Potts said that she had been given permission to stay for the entire show, which was not due to end until after 9 pm, so Swing went back to her own house alone. Swing last saw Potts in the crowd, still watching the performances onstage.

At about 9:30 pm, when the show had ended and the park was emptying, a 13-year-old boy who knew Potts saw her heading diagonally across the park in a northeasterly direction, about 150 yards from the corner of Linnet Avenue and West 117th Street. This would have been the quickest route to Potts' home, which would then only be a few minutes' walk away. The boy recognized Potts by her distinctive "duck-like" gait, walking with toes pointed outward. Several other witnesses said they had seen a girl resembling Potts near a battered black 1937 Dodge coupe idling on West 117th Street, apparently speaking to two young men inside. The various witnesses placed this encounter anywhere between 8:30 and 9:30 pm, but none of them had seen the girl entering the car.

When Potts did not return home by 10 pm, her family began searching the area. About an hour later, having found no sign of her, they called the police.

Several suspects emerged over the years, but none can be definitively linked to the case.
In 1955 Harvey Lee Rush, a drifter and Cleveland native, told police in California that he had killed Potts after luring her to a nearby bridge with candy; however he placed the murder in 1952, a year after Potts' actual disappearance. Rush recanted his entire story shortly after being extradited to Cleveland, saying that he had confessed merely as a way to get back to his hometown.

In 1980, two retired Cleveland police detectives, James Fuerst and Robert Shankland, revealed that in 1974 they had received a tip from a local attorney with a client whose brother had supposedly confessed to abducting Potts. The detectives subsequently found and questioned the brother, who, they said, had readily admitted to having lived near Halloran Park in 1951 and making a habit of picking up and molesting young girls there. The man did not remember abducting Potts in particular, but said he had "flashes" of memory involving a girl named Beverly. Fuerst and Shankland were convinced the man was guilty, but the county prosecutors' office refused to pursue the case, citing a lack of evidence.

William Henry Redmond, an Ohio native and former carnival worker, was indicted in 1988 for the 1951 Pennsylvania murder of eight-year-old Jane Marie Althoff. While in prison, Redmond reportedly told a cell mate that he had killed three other young girls. When questioned about the Potts case in particular, Redmond refused to make a statement one way or the other. He was in the general area at the time of Potts' disappearance and had a record of child molestation convictions dating back to 1935; however Potts would have been considerably older than his previous victims.

In 1994, a letter was discovered under a carpet in a Cleveland house, written by a woman who claimed to have caught her husband disposing of Potts' body in their furnace. Upon being traced and questioned by police, the woman said that the allegation was false; she had written the letter solely as a revenge fantasy against her abusive husband.

More letters were sent to reporter Brent Larkin of the Cleveland Plain Dealer beginning in 2000, purporting to be from an elderly and infirm man who claimed that he wanted to confess to molesting and murdering Potts before his imminent death. The anonymous author pledged to turn himself in on August 24, 2001, the fiftieth anniversary of Potts' disappearance, but shortly beforehand wrote again to say he had had to enter a nursing home and would be unable to honor his promise or otherwise reveal himself. An extensive investigation failed to turn up any clues to the author's identity; Larkin now believes the letters to have been a hoax.

+++++++++++++++++++++

All I can say about this case is "Wow".  I've never seen so many red herrings and so much public interest in a case over such a lengthy period.  I am amazed.  I have attempted this case several times in the past but could not get a clear chart or be sure of the times and places given.  In this attempt, I have decided to go with the account given above.

BEVERLY POTTS 9 PM

I started with a chart for the time when several witnesses claimed to have seen her speaking to men in a car.  After this, there are no more credible sightings and she seems to have disappeared.  This but a few feet from her home.  The chart above shows the car, the two men (Moon in Gemini in the third house) and since the Moon is disposed of by the seventh house ruler,Mercury, I am inclined to believe she was taken by these two men.  Mercury is in Virgo in the sixth house with both Venus and the Sun.  This tells me two things.  One: that these men will never be found and two: they were working that night in the performance that Beverly attended.

In this chart, the first house ruler is Neptune, which is in Libra in the seventh house.  Neptune is disposed of by Venus in the sixth, conjoined the seventh house ruler.  She was enchanted by these men because they worked in the arts and she was smitten with arts and music.    They had shared interests and they had no problem seducing her with their talk.  Neptune in Libra can be fooled by romance and mystery and especially where it concerns the opposite sex.

The Moon in Gemini square to the node in the twelfth tells me these two men came up with their scheme on the spot, only after they met the girl.  Beverly was young but she wasn't too young for many men, especially those who prefer young girls.

There is also one more thought that crosses my mind.  Jupiter in the first shows the joy that Beverly was feeling that night and with it trining Mars in the fifth, she was very excited by the performance.  She was excited by these men.  She may well have run off with to "join the circus" so to speak.  To be a part of the arts.

BEVERLY POTTS 10 PM

This chart is even more interesting to me.  The first house ruler, Mars, is in the fifth in Leo and disposed of by the Sun, also in the fifth.  It would seem that perhaps she went along out of fun and excitement over the music and art.  With the Moon in the second, they may have promised to make her a "star",to earn money as a performer or other contributor.  The seventh house ruler is Venus and is disposed of by Mercury in Virgo.  The tenth house ruler is also in the sixth, disposed of by Venus.  I think the idea that she ran off willingly (at least to begin with) is viable with these placements.
Because none of the charts I saw presented a death pattern, I have no reason to believe she is not alive.  She may have died in the meantime, by almost any means, but she was not killed that night.

BEVERLY POTTS MIDNIGHT

I know that in other charts I often use the fifth house to show romance, sex, rape and attraction.  In most cases involving victim and abductor that makes sense but in this case with the girl just leaving a performance and loving the arts so much, it seems more likely this chart is reflecting that.  As a matter of fact, this chart for midnight has the Moon in Gemini in the first house, disposed of by Mercury, still in the fifth house.  She is still giddy with it all, focused on a chance to be around or even be involved in something of the arts.  This is no different than the women who fall for photographers who promise to make them famous models.  The tenth house ruler in the second again tells me she is hoping to make a career of this and is expecting to make money.  Whether she ended up in sex slavery or some other service against her will is not indicated in the charts.  It is not to be ruled out, as there are many days ahead here, but it is just not shown in the charts.  In fact, these men do not look like criminals.  They have markers for people who work.

Another pointer is the seventh house ruler in the eleventh and opposing Neptune in Libra in the sixth.  This is another marker that seems to indicate that these men work in the arts in some capacity and are not in the sex industry or or a criminal character. I have no idea what they want with a 12 year old girl but it does not always have to be sexual.

May I suggest the searchers start with the Showagon, where it went next and who was working on it.  Following this unit may render leads as to where this girl went.  And I cannot swear to her safety in the days and weeks that followed this event nor can I say that these men did not have untoward ideas.  Just that the charts reflect the fact that they worked at the Showwagon performance and this connection was enough to fascinate the innocent little girl who may well have become a victim, especially since I do not consider fourth grade children to have the wherewithal to make these sorts of choices for themselves and any adult who takes such a child under these circumstances is, at the very least, irresponsible.

KORTNE STOUFFER

Young Woman Disappears After Night of Fun

From Crime Watch Daily :

Kortne was a free spirit who loved the clothes, music and attitude of the 1960s. But did all that peace and love lead down a dark road? For Kortne, it all started here in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, a perfect blend of country living and city life. The pretty green-eyed blond grew up loving the outdoors and all it had to offer. She's exuberant, full of giddy energy and love. But even Kortne's parents Scott and Wendy admit their beautiful, loving daughter is also bold. Now they worry she may have been too bold for her own good.

"Kortne was 21. She was going to the bars, she was partying, she had her own apartment," said Wendy. "She was a hippy at heart. She wore tie-dye everything."Saturday, July 28, 2012, was supposed to be one long party for Kortne, her boyfriend Bradley and other guests at their apartment. But before the night can even get started, neighbors call the cops and cut the party short.

"Probably about 9 o'clock Saturday evening, authorities did go over and break up what was essentially an underage drinking party," said Lebanon County District Attorney David Arnold.

Bradley is caught drinking, and that's a big problem. He was on probation for a DUI, so cops haul him off to jail.

Kortne's furious with the busybodies next door.
She and her friends decide to move the party down the road to the nearby town of Harrisburg. But more alcohol isn't the cure for Kortne's fury. She gets into a screaming match with another guy and his girlfriend at the bar.

Kortne gets kicked out of the bar, and now she's really fuming. She heads back to her apartment with an old friend, Cody Pruett. Cody's following Kortne to make sure she gets home safe.
"I feel like she didn't want to be there by herself and she knew there were problems with the neighbors, and probably bringing a big strapping fellow back might help the situation," said Wendy.

And she's looking to settle the score with her nosy neighbors.
"She confronts the neighbors -- shouting, screaming, yelling," said Scott Stouffer.
Police are called a second time. Kortne and her neighbor Todd were about to come to blows.
"The police came and they were all outside in the yard, and Kortne was in Todd's face, chest to chest, yelling at each other, and the police came and told them all to go back into their own apartments and to just leave each other alone," said Wendy.

Cody takes Kortne inside to cool down. But Kortne is now on fire.
Less than an hour later, cops are called again. But this time, to their surprise, officers find nothing but peace and quiet.

At 7:30 that morning, Cody wakes up. Kortne is nowhere to be found.
"Cody told Scott he woke up at 7:30 and didn't see Kortne, and he left and went to a convenience store, where he texted her," said Wendy.

But Kortne would never receive that text. Sometime in the previous three hours, she went missing.

FROM  Lancaster Online:

Nearly five years ago, 21-year-old Kortne Stouffer disappeared from her Lebanon County apartment after a night out with her friends.

The puzzling case drew national attention following the Palmyra woman's disappearance on July 29, 2012. Investigators pursued numerous leads over the years but the case remains unsolved.
On Sunday, the case will be featured on an episode of Investigation Discovery's "Disappeared" series.

Stouffer disappeared from her apartment sometime between 3:45 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., according to LDNews.com. She was last seen when a Palmyra Borough police officer responded to her apartment for a disturbance involving a neighbor at 3:12 a.m.

The case is still considered an active investigation, the Lebanon County District Attorney's office told LDNews. Scott Stouffer, her father, has also  private investigator, Leah Jennings, to investigate the case.

=====================
And there is even more to this story if you can believe that.  I was stunned by the tale as it was told on Disappeared on Investigation Discovery Channel.  I could not believe that no one had found her and the whole thing was so complicated.  I couldn't resist trying to dope it out.  On the one hand, she does not arouse sympathy being so defiant, argumentative and self centered.  On the other, there is never an excuse for hurting another human being and if she has been hurt, we need to know.  So, if you want to read more about this case you can google it and find it in detail on Crime Watch Daily and on ID.  It is the strangest mystery.  But I was able to get charts for the time she was last seen, in general, I suppose since it is really a window of time, and have done an analysis.  Here it is:

KORTNE STOUFFER LAST SEEN

Right away I must point out the first house ruler in the sixth.  This is a traditional marker in missing person and runaway cases and it basically means she will never be seen again.  The first house ruler disposed of by a planet in the twelfth indicates she had a secret purpose in what she did and no one knows what was planned.  This is amplified by the conjunction of the node to the Moon, the first house ruler, in the sixth.  She very likely planned this out, to disappear. The seventh house ruler, Saturn, shows us an older male and since it is placed in the fifth, we can assume this was a lover.  This ruler disposed of by a planet also in the twelfth, not far from her maker, indicates he was "in on" her secret and helped her with this.
If we are to assume that she planned this escape and intended to disappear, the question remains as to her well being.  Is she still alive?  Is she safe?

KORTNE STOUFFER 6 AM

The first house ruler in the first shows us that, at this hour, Kortne was doing what she wanted and she was in control of the outcome.  This  girl was not kidnapped or forced; this was an act of will.  The seventh house ruler in the ninth indicates that she has hooked up with a foreigner, someone from another country and with Uranus ruling both the seventh and the eighth I would guess this may be a criminal or an illegal immigrant.  If this is an immigrant this does not also mean this is a criminal since the "illegal" label makes that true in and of itself. But Uranus in Aries also implies someone who is hiding out, in a place where outlaws find safety and that he is hiding her.  But she is there because she wants to be, not because he is forcing her.
In fact, the Moon's dispositor in the eleventh along with the 4th house ruler and the Moon in the fifth, they are in a "love nest" so to speak.  Saturn in the fourth shows us the person who lives there and this appears to be the same older man who helped her run off.  But I am not so sure she is safe where she is in the long run.

KORTNE STOUFFER 7:30AM

This chart shows dangers.  His marker is still in the eighth, describing a criminal personality who lives "on the edge".  Pluto in the fifth can define passion and excitement but it also describes violence. Pluto rules the fourth so there is a danger of violence where she is. Moon moving into the fourth shows her settling in here to stay and not trying to leave.  And her ruler in the twelfth at this point shows both her sleeping in the early morning hours but also that she is hiding in a place where she feels she will never be found. Neptune in Pisces in the seventh hints at drug dealing or drug abuse or both.

This may be his criminal activity, use and sale of drugs but the square between Neptune and the node in the fourth indicates that drugs were not a part of the plan.  And here is a clue for the local authorities:  the Moon and the node in the fourth disposed of by Jupiter in the tenth may describe public housing or HUD housing in that area.  They may be living in a Section 8 development.
It makes me kind of sad to do these cases, knowing that family and friends are in pain.  There is a special kind of remorse when you see that someone just up and left their loved ones, no concern.  Seem pretty selfish.  I know it's better than hearing they are dead or being held against their will, which present their own brand of horror but, at least, in those cases, whatever small solace it is, there is a chance of getting them back and of knowing they did not leave on their own.  How angry or unhappy does one have to be to leave in this manner?

The good news in these charts is that there does not appear to be any immediate plans to kill her or to use her for porn or sex slavery or anything like that.  There are violent markers intermingled with romantic ones so this is an abusive relationship but one that she entered voluntarily.  The charts I ran for the next few hours throughout the day show that she is there willingly, subject to a volatile man but not being mortally harmed in any way.

The presence of the first house ruler in the sixth in the first chart drawn clearly indicates she has no plan of coming home and will probably never be located.  I see no death patterns in the days ahead so if she dies, it is much longer after she has gone.  The only comfort friends and family have at this point is that she is where she wants to be, doing what she wants to.  It is very unlikely she will ever be found.
