Little Girl Disappears a Few Feet From Home

Blond, blue-eyed Potts was described as a shy, quiet and responsible child, fascinated by the performing arts, who was due to enter the fifth grade in fall 1951. At the time she was living on Linnet Avenue with her parents Robert and Elizabeth Potts and her 22-year-old sister Anita.

On August 24, she and her friend and neighbor Patsy Swing were given permission to see the Showagon, an annual summer children's performance event being held that evening in Halloran Park, less than a quarter of a mile from the girls' homes. This was a special treat, as the park was generally considered unsafe after dark, when large trees dimmed the surrounding streetlights. It was also frequented by the local vagrant population.

The two girls initially went to the park on their bicycles around 7 pm. At 8 pm, deciding it would be easier to maneuver on foot through the large crowds in attendance, they returned home to drop off their bikes, arriving back at the show sometime before 8:30 pm. At about 8:45 pm, Swing, who had promised to be home before dark, suggested they leave for home. Potts said that she had been given permission to stay for the entire show, which was not due to end until after 9 pm, so Swing went back to her own house alone. Swing last saw Potts in the crowd, still watching the performances onstage.

At about 9:30 pm, when the show had ended and the park was emptying, a 13-year-old boy who knew Potts saw her heading diagonally across the park in a northeasterly direction, about 150 yards from the corner of Linnet Avenue and West 117th Street. This would have been the quickest route to Potts' home, which would then only be a few minutes' walk away. The boy recognized Potts by her distinctive "duck-like" gait, walking with toes pointed outward. Several other witnesses said they had seen a girl resembling Potts near a battered black 1937 Dodge coupe idling on West 117th Street, apparently speaking to two young men inside. The various witnesses placed this encounter anywhere between 8:30 and 9:30 pm, but none of them had seen the girl entering the car.

When Potts did not return home by 10 pm, her family began searching the area. About an hour later, having found no sign of her, they called the police.

Several suspects emerged over the years, but none can be definitively linked to the case.

In 1955 Harvey Lee Rush, a drifter and Cleveland native, told police in California that he had killed Potts after luring her to a nearby bridge with candy; however he placed the murder in 1952, a year after Potts' actual disappearance. Rush recanted his entire story shortly after being extradited to Cleveland, saying that he had confessed merely as a way to get back to his hometown.

In 1980, two retired Cleveland police detectives, James Fuerst and Robert Shankland, revealed that in 1974 they had received a tip from a local attorney with a client whose brother had supposedly confessed to abducting Potts. The detectives subsequently found and questioned the brother, who, they said, had readily admitted to having lived near Halloran Park in 1951 and making a habit of picking up and molesting young girls there. The man did not remember abducting Potts in particular, but said he had "flashes" of memory involving a girl named Beverly. Fuerst and Shankland were convinced the man was guilty, but the county prosecutors' office refused to pursue the case, citing a lack of evidence.

William Henry Redmond, an Ohio native and former carnival worker, was indicted in 1988 for the 1951 Pennsylvania murder of eight-year-old Jane Marie Althoff. While in prison, Redmond reportedly told a cell mate that he had killed three other young girls. When questioned about the Potts case in particular, Redmond refused to make a statement one way or the other. He was in the general area at the time of Potts' disappearance and had a record of child molestation convictions dating back to 1935; however Potts would have been considerably older than his previous victims.

In 1994, a letter was discovered under a carpet in a Cleveland house, written by a woman who claimed to have caught her husband disposing of Potts' body in their furnace. Upon being traced and questioned by police, the woman said that the allegation was false; she had written the letter solely as a revenge fantasy against her abusive husband.

More letters were sent to reporter Brent Larkin of the Cleveland Plain Dealer beginning in 2000, purporting to be from an elderly and infirm man who claimed that he wanted to confess to molesting and murdering Potts before his imminent death. The anonymous author pledged to turn himself in on August 24, 2001, the fiftieth anniversary of Potts' disappearance, but shortly beforehand wrote again to say he had had to enter a nursing home and would be unable to honor his promise or otherwise reveal himself. An extensive investigation failed to turn up any clues to the author's identity; Larkin now believes the letters to have been a hoax.

All I can say about this case is "Wow".  I've never seen so many red herrings and so much public interest in a case over such a lengthy period.  I am amazed.  I have attempted this case several times in the past but could not get a clear chart or be sure of the times and places given.  In this attempt, I have decided to go with the account given above.

BEVERLY POTTS 9 PM

I started with a chart for the time when several witnesses claimed to have seen her speaking to men in a car.  After this, there are no more credible sightings and she seems to have disappeared.  This but a few feet from her home.  The chart above shows the car, the two men (Moon in Gemini in the third house) and since the Moon is disposed of by the seventh house ruler,Mercury, I am inclined to believe she was taken by these two men.  Mercury is in Virgo in the sixth house with both Venus and the Sun.  This tells me two things.  One: that these men will never be found and two: they were working that night in the performance that Beverly attended.

In this chart,the first house ruler is Neptune, which is in Libra in the seventh house.  Neptune is disposed of by Venus in the sixth, conjoined the seventh house ruler.  She was enchanted by these men because they worked in the arts and she was smitten with arts and music.    They had shared interests and they had no problem seducing her with their talk.  Neptune in Libra can be fooled by romance and mystery and especially where it concerns the opposite sex.  

The Moon in Gemini square to the node in the twelfth tells me these two men came up with their scheme on the spot, only after they met the girl.  Beverly was young but she wasn't too young for many men, especially those who prefer young girls.  

There is also one more thought that crosses my mind.  Jupiter in the first shows the joy that Beverly was feeling that night and with it trining Mars in the fifth, she was very excited by the performance.  She was excited by these men.  She may well have run off with to "join the circus" so to speak.  To be a part of the arts.

BEVERLY POTTS 10 PM

This chart is even more interesting to me.  The first house ruler, Mars, is in the fifth in Leo and disposed of by the Sun, also in the fifth.  It would seem that perhaps she went along out of fun and excitement over the music and art.  With the Moon in the second, they may have promised to make her a "star",to earn money as a performer or other contributor.  The seventh house ruler is Venus and is disposed of by Mercury in Virgo.  The tenth house ruler is also in the sixth, disposed of by Venus.  I think the idea that she ran off willingly (at least to begin with) is viable with these placements.

Because none of the charts I saw presented a death pattern, I have no reason to believe she is not alive.  She may have died in the meantime, by almost any means, but she was not killed that night. 

BEVERLY POTTS MIDNIGHT

I know that in other charts I often use the fifth house to show romance, sex,rape and attraction.  In most cases involving victim and abductor that makes sense but in this case with the girl just leaving a performance and loving the arts so much, it seems more likely this chart is reflecting that.  As a matter of fact,this chart for midnight has the Moon in Gemini in the first house, disposed of by Mercury, still in the fifth house.  She is still giddy with it all,focused on a chance to be around or even be involved in something of the arts.  This is no different than the women who fall for photographers who promise to make them famous models.  The tenth house ruler in the second again tells me she is hoping to make a career of this and is expecting to make money.  Whether she ended up in sex slavery or some other service against her will is not indicated in the charts.  It is not to be ruled out, as there are many days ahead here, but it is just not shown in the charts.  In fact, these men do not look like criminals.  They have markers for people who work.

Another pointer is the seventh house ruler in the eleventh and opposing Neptune in Libra in the sixth.  This is another marker that seems to indicate that these men work in the arts in some capacity and are not in the sex industry or or a criminal character. I have no idea what they want with a 12 year old girl but it does not always have to be sexual.

May I suggest the searchers start with the Showagon, where it went next and who was working on it.  Following this unit may render leads as to where this girl went.  And I cannot swear to her safety in the days and weeks that followed this event nor can I say that these men did not have untoward ideas.  Just that the charts reflect the fact that they worked at the Showwagon performance and this connection was enough to fascinate the innocent little girl who may well have become a victim, especially since I do not consider fourth grade children to have the wherewithal to make these sorts of choices for themselves and any adult who takes such a child under these circumstances is, at the very least, irresponsible.

YOUNG MAN LEAVES BAR, ENDS UP IN RIVER

There is a "high probability" that Joseph "Joey" LaBute Jr. was already dead when he went into the Scioto River, Franklin County Coroner Anahi Ortiz said today.

LaBute, a 26-year-old Gahanna resident who hadn't been seen since he left a Short North bar earlier this month, was found dead Tuesday afternoon in the river just south of Downtown.

His identity was confirmed Wednesday night, using dental records. LaBute's family was notified of the match, and his name was released this morning by Ortiz.

"There is a high probability that he was dead prior to going in the river," Ortiz said. "We cannot determine that with 100 percent certainty."

The cause and manner of LaBute's death remain under investigation, but police said they have labeled his death suspicious primarily because of the circumstances in which his body was found. Ortiz said further medical and toxicology tests are needed, a process can take several weeks.

"There were no external traumatic injuries" like gunshots or stab wounds, she said.

Columbus police said detectives with the missing persons unit spotted LaBute's half-submerged body near the boat launch off Whittier Street near the Scioto Audubon Metro Park.

Police suspected early on that the body was that of LaBute, noting that the clothing fit the description of what LaBute was reportedly wearing when he went missing. But the condition of the body made its immediate identification impossible.

LaBute was last seen at the Union Cafe in the Short North about 12:30 a.m. on March 5.

His car was found near Goodale Street and Michigan Avenue, where he usually parked when visiting the area. That spot is about a quarter-mile east of the Olentangy River, which feeds into the Scioto about a mile downstream. From the confluence of the two rivers, it is another two miles to the spot where LaBute's body was found.

Police have said they don't know where he entered the water.

Hundreds of volunteers had searched the Short North and Arena District at various points during the past month for clues about his disappearance. His family had gathered on the weekends to pass out fliers.

LaBute was a 2011 graduate of Ohio State University and worked at Morgan Stanley. He grew up in the Worthington area until high school, when his family relocated to southwestern Ohio and he switched to Lakota Local Schools.

A man found dead in the Scioto River three weeks after he went missing from the Short North had "dry" lungs and no water in his stomach, while toxicology tests revealed only alcohol in his system.

The final autopsy report of Joseph "Joey" LaBute Jr., 26, leaves the cause and manner of his death undetermined, although it underscores earlier comments by Franklin County Coroner Anahi Ortiz that the lack of water in his lungs and stomach suggested that he likely was dead before his body entered the river.

Even the finding that LaBute's blood-alcohol level was .15 percent might be misleading because an elevated ethanol level "can be indicative of the decomposition process," the coroner reported.

"Due to the decedent being found in water and the probability that he was in the water for a length of time, we cannot definitively give a cause of death," Ortiz said Monday. "All we can say with certainty is that there were no signs of trauma" such as gunshot or stab wounds.

His parking spot is about a quarter-mile east of the Olentangy River, which feeds into the Scioto about a mile downstream. From the confluence of the two rivers, it is about 2 miles to the spot where LaBute's body was found.

This is the third case I've seen in recent weeks where a young man is murdered and dumped in the river. This, along with the known "smiley face" murders, I would say this is a horrific trend. In fact, I have another coming up with the exact same profile. The murders of young men are often, if not always, dismissed. There has been no public outcry about these murders, as there are when women or children end up dead. Everyone just passes it off as "boys being boys" and having too much to drink, using drugs or getting involved with gangs. There is a mistaken belief that men are killed for a reason while women and children are exploited. But young men are abducted for nefarious reasons just as much as anyone else and this needs to be known. The last two cases I posted are prime examples, as is this one.

This chart shows Joey operating under his own power. He has not been abducted or assaulted. Mars, which rules the first, is in the first, showing us that he is fine. The Moon, the chart co ruler, is disposed of by Saturn, also in the first. The person he is about to meet is coming along in a car, as the ruler of the seventh is in the third. The ruler of the seventh, Venus, is disposed of by Uranus in Aries in the fifth. Venus is conjunct Mercury, which is the eighth and tenth house ruler. This may or may not mean this person is a criminal and there is a chance this person is either very young or has a child in their company.

This chart seems to show us Joey in someone else's car. You can see the first house ruler, Jupiter, in the ninth (the third from the seventh) with the seventh house ruler in the third, also a car. Mercury itself seems to describe a car. So I think Joey is in someone else's car at this point. He either met someone where he left his car and went along with them for some reason or was taken from the cafe in another car and his car was moved later. I am not sure which at this point.

Jupiter ruling the first and conjoined the node shows us that Joey had planned to do this in advance. So we can assume, from this inference, that he went along intentionally and was not abducted or forced. And since both Jupiter and the node are disposed of by Mercury, the seventh house ruler, I am positive he knew this person and had intended to go along with this person at this time. So he is in someone else's car willingly.

This chart shows us a confrontation. Joey's co ruler, the Moon, is in the first house with Pluto, both in Capricorn and both disposed of by Saturn in the twelfth. This shows an altercation that may have escalated to violence (Pluto) but one that is not seen by anyone else (twelfth house). Pluto square to Jupiter describes someone pretty sure of him or herself and maybe taking things too far while Moon sextile Mars shows restraint and self control on Joey's part. I do not beleive this blew up into a big fight but the anger was there.

Running the charts well into the morning hours I do not see Joey dead. This means he survived the first night but charts for the next day may show something different. The next chart, for 7 am, shows him being hidden away somewhere and after the markers for a fight, this leads me to believe he was being held against his will but I am not sure why. The fourth house ruler in the twelfth aligned with the first house ruler in Pisces indicates bondage to me. Moon and Pluto in the eleventh may mean he was held for a purpose but I cannot say for sure what that purpose was. It may have had to do with pornography but the markers are not strong. Mars and Saturn together are strong descriptors for confinement and in the ninth house can mean he is held in the woods, in a place in the woods. Could be a hunting cabin or something of the like. Jupiter along with the node in the seventh shows planning in advance, as if Joey were targeted. The presence of the node at this point also indicates that they had planned to bring him here, to the wooded place.

Running the charts forward hour by hour I see little change until that afternoon. In fact, it appears they had in confined somewhere and he was either just sleeping or had been drugged to force unconciousness. He is just not awake. And then, later that afternoon, they kill him or he ends up dead somehow.

This chart clearly shows a death pattern with a violent cause. Pluto in the seventh house shows us a dangerous, violent person who lives by a dark code. Pluto is disposed of by Saturn in the sixth and Saturn also rules the seventh from the sixth. The sign Sagittarius shows us a rugged, outdoors type individual who probably lives in this place in the woods. He (and I say he even though there are no sex indicators and this could be a female... although unlikely) is a hunter or outdoors sportsmen of some sort. He lives by his violent code. Saturn in the sixth means he will be hard to find in the woods, he is a good tracker and can hide successfully for long periods of time. In fact, the sixth house means he may never be found.

Saturn also describes the dead body. We know that Joey suffered little external damage and was not shot or stabbed and probably not beaten. I am thinking this chart shows him unconcious and that he died on the drugs they gave him. When they went to wake him up, they were met with his condition and made violent efforts to bring him around but not the kind that leaves bruises or cuts. They probably shook him and tried to make him walk, this sort of thing. But nothing worked. And the lack of brutality leads me to think that this was either a financial dispute or they wanted him for something. Money is the only marker that stands out at all in these charts so they may have wanted him for porn or drug running or slavery or whatever and did not intend to kill him. His death seems to have been unexpected.

Saturn is disposed of by Jupiter in the third house on the fourth house axis. He does not live far from the victim's residence, even in the same general area. He is familiar with Joey's neighborhood and is involved somehow with children there. Jupiter in Virgo disposed of by Mercury in the ninth could mean he is a teacher of some sort, such as teaching outdoors skills, sports or hunting. Neptune is in Pisces on the tenth house cusp with Mercury there, which tells us that Joey ended up in the water. Saturn square Neptune shows this man does not have affinity for that area, where the water is and does not spend time on the water. He is not likely to be a fisherman or boating enthusiast. Joey was not transported on a boat but just dumped from land or a nearby bridge.

Running the charts hour by hour I just do not see sexual markers. He was not taken by a pedophile, a pervert or a pornographer... and I have no idea, from these markers, why he was taken. There are some markers indicating money so perhaps he owed money for something. Maybe he borrowed money or didn't pay someone money he owed them. But the markers are not strong or clear so I hesitate to say this for sure. It is anyone's guess what they wanted with Joey.

Revisiting the charts for the time when he went along in that car, I see that his motivation was another person, who is described by Mercury in Aquarius. This describes the person who abducted Joey. This person is younger than Joey, is a rogue personality or what is thought of as a "rebel", someone who lives on the edge and doesn't fit in. This person is very attractive (Aquarius) and free spirited. Fair haired and light eyed most likely and easy on the eyes. I would guess this was a female and he met Joey where he left his car. They went for a ride somewhere and little did he know. Think of pretty girls he knew that he would be unafraid of or even interested in. This is where the search should start.

Woman Leaves Family Party and Disappears

Lori Boffman was last seen on August 5, 2006, at 6:30 p.m., when she left her home and took a drive in her vehicle. She did not take her purse or identification with her. Additionally, Lori was taking medication for diabetes. Her vehicle was found the next morning at 5:30 a.m. in the next town over from her home. She resided in Liberty Township, Ohio, and the vehicle was found in Youngstown, Ohio. The vehicle appeared to have been in an accident and was abandoned. Lori Boffman has not been seen or heard from since this incident.

Lori Boffman wears her hair in dread locks. She wears glasses and has a scar on her abdomen. She may also go by the name of Lori Ann Stubbs.

GRACE: Every day, 2,300 people go missing in America, disappear, vanish. Their families left waiting, wondering, hoping, but never forgetting, and neither have we. Fifty people, 50 days, 50 nights we go live, spotlighting America`s missing, boys, girls, mothers, fathers, grandparents. They are gone, but where?

Tonight, to the heartland, Liberty, Ohio, a beloved mother of three, Lori Boffman, heads out in her car, August 2006, leaving behind her purse, her I.D., and diabetes meds. She`s never seen again. The car, a 1992 blue Mercury Sable, found the very next day near a library one town over, apparently, part of a fender better, but mysteriously, the key still in the car.

The ignition, the engine, still running. Also, adding to the mystery, family says Lori had just won the lottery the night before she goes missing. Her children still waiting for mommy to come home. Tonight, where is Lori? Jean, what happened.

JEAN CASAREZ, LEGAL CORRESPONDENT, "IN SESSION": You know, Nancy, it was a good day. It was February 5th, August 5th, 2006, and it was a day of a picnic, and she just won over $1,000 in the lottery. Her daughter was home from college. She was getting groceries to take to the picnic. She had the picnic with her family and her friends. I want to go to Phil Trexler, reporter for the Akron Beacon Journal joining us tonight from Ohio. Phil, who was the last person that we know saw her alive?

VOICE OF PHIL TREXLER, REPORTER, AKRON BEACON JOURNAL: Well, you know, the details were kind of sketchy there. Obviously, she was with her family there at the picnic. There was this companion that they spoke of who drove with her to take the food back to her home. That appears to be the last person. Now, there were some sightings in the days after she was reported missing. None of those have been confirmed.

That`s a common problem or phenomenon, so to speak, with missing person cases. That there are a lot of sightings, but very few of them prove to be founded. So, it`s a little sketchy as to who was the last person with her. Obviously, her family, when she left the barbecue, the picnic, and then, the man who was supposedly with her that night, but again, it`s a mystery.

CASAREZ: All right. To Natisha Lance, NANCY GRACE producer, first of all, do we know who that man is that was last seen with her?

NATISHA LANCE, NANCY GRACE PRODUCER: We don`t. We don`t know who that man is, and we also don`t know who the man is who was with her at the grocery store. Police have yet to identify that man as well, too.

CASAREZ: All right. Natisha, she was last seen August 5th, 2006. When was she reported missing?

LANCE: She was reported missing on August 7th. Now, what her family says is that her children went on August 6th to Youngstown Police Department to try to report her missing there. They were told, according to the family, that they should wait a little bit longer, and also, that they would have to report her missing in the town that she lived in, which is Liberty. Then, on August 7th is when her niece went to Liberty Police Department and made the report to file her missing at that point.

CASAREZ: And with us tonight is Chief Richard Tisone, who is joining us from the Liberty Police Department. Chief, thank you, once again, for joining us. She had won, you said, about $1,000 in the lottery. What I want to know, when her apartment was searched and her purse was found in the apartment, was that $1,000 there?

VOICE OF CHIEF RICH TISONE, LIBERTY POLICE DEPARTMENT: No. We did not find any substantial amount of money. There were no signs of any foul play in the apartment. There was no forced entry, and basically, the one daughter had been living there. So, there was nothing of any evidentiary value that we found there.

CASAREZ: Did you find through any bank accounts at all that that money had been deposited?

TISONE: No, we did not.

CASAREZ: You did not. So, that`s a missing element right there, the money she`d won from the lottery.

TISONE: Quite possibly, yes.

CASAREZ: All right. To Patricia Saunders, clinical psychologist, joining us from New York. Dr. Saunders, the thing that just -- I can`t get out of my mind is this car with the engine running and the car door open and her glasses are still in there. Two pairs of glasses are still in there. I mean, that tells me that somebody had to get out fast.

PATRICIA SAUNDERS, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST: Very fast. I think this might be a mixture of medical psychiatric vulnerability and that someone took advantage of her, some predatory person. It was said that she had a chemical imbalance and diabetes. Sometimes, chemical imbalance is a euphemism for bipolar disorder, Jean, or what used to be called manic- depressive illness, spending $500 for food and crying to her kids that she had no one to take care of anymore at the picnic suggest that she might have had truly unstable moods.

Whether that was secondary to the diabetes, which is possible, or the diabetes was secondary to psychiatric medications, I don`t know, but this was someone who I think made a profound decision based on her instability to leave her life, and somebody may have helped her leave her life and exploited her.

CASAREZ: And the question is, could she still be alive if she decided to leave her life there in Youngstown, Ohio? Or is she the victim of foul play? Everybody, Lori Ann Boffman, 45 years old when she went missing in 2006, 5 feet 9, 180 pounds, black hair and brown eyes, and she wears glasses, and she had a scar on her abdomen. May go by the name of Lori Ann Stubs.

This case is a true mystery with some really weird circumstances. It was hard for me to resist even when the charts proved to be difficult. It took me many weeks of study to get a viable analysis from them and I am still not sure of some of the circumstances surrounding this case. But there are standout aspects in the chart drawn for when she was last seen and when you look at the chart for 6:30 pm, the time at which Lori left the bbq, you can see right away that the charts show her to be in grave danger. First and foremost is the placement of the first house ruler, Saturn, just under the Sun's beams in the seventh house. This is a definitive marker for danger and usually from the person defined by the house placement. We do see several planets in the seventh house, the first house ruler, Saturn, with the Sun, Mercury and Venus. Venus rules her fourth house so this is showing us her family members, females with children (Venus conjoined Mercury). These people were probably the witnesses that gave the report that she left the bbq with an unidentified man. Notice that Cancer is the sign on the seventh house cusp. This is a placement that tells us that she is, indeed, in someone else's company. I say this because the Moon, which rules Cancer, is also the co ruler of the chart and the subject. In this chart, it also rules the seventh house so this tells us that Lori is in the company of another person and they both share the rulership of the Moon. Now, notice that the Moon is in the twelfth house conjoined Pluto. Pluto rules the tenth house. Mars also rules the tenth and it is in the eighth house. The twelfth house and eighth house are both houses that indicate death. The eighth house can also indicate sex. Mars and Pluto both indicate violence. And with the ruler under the Sun's beams, this chart screams danger from many different placements, with possible violence and death.

This chart is what I call a "scary" chart. Another ugly aspect is the sinister conjunction of the Moon and the fixed star, Sinistra. Sinistra often refers to rape or sexual assault and with Mars in the eighth, this is an idea that we have to address. We know that she left with this person in her car and that her car became a focal point in the aftermath of this event so we look at the third house for enlightenment. Notice that Mars rules the third and it is in the eighth, as previously noted. This may indicate the theft of her car. In fact, that dovetails with Pluto and the Moon in the twelfth, which can mean an attack from behind. So it is possible, according to this first chart, that Lori was attacked from behind in her car and her car was then taken from her. So this is a possible car jacking. The conjunction of the Moon and Pluto lead me to believe that there had to have been, at the least, an altercation. There is several reports of her strange behavior prior to the disappearance and that she may have wanted to get away from her life. She had also just won some money in the lottery. It was not a lot, a thousand dollars, I believe, but enough to make her a target. She may have been looking for a good time, with that cash, and hooked up with the wrong people. All of these things are possible. Sickness and medications are shown by the sixth and ninth houses in the chart, although these are not angular houses and are not considered under usual circumstances. The sixth house is used most often to determine whether the victim will ever be found or return home. Mostly this has been used in horary charts for runaway children. In this chart, both the ruler of the sixth and the ninth houses are conjoined in the angular seventh house. This gives these rulers some degree of importance in the chart (as well as the rulership of the angular fourth by Venus). Especially since both of the planets are disposed of by the Moon in the twelfth. I believe this is telling me that she is possibly in bondage to this man (twelfth house Moon ruling the seventh) and this is causing her some worry over her health (Mercury conjoined Venus in Cancer). It may, in fact, create difficulties or even danger for her as time passes (Mercury in Cancer exactly inconjunct to Pluto in Sagittarius).

We have gleaned all that we will obtain from this chart. The gist of the chart seems to be that Lori is in danger.

Now, I am going to leap forward to the day when her car was discovered. I am doing this to bring the two big events in this case together, but I promise I will progress the charts along in the interim to determine the events as they occurred and whether or not Lori is dead or alive and where she might have gone. But I want you to see the chart for the time when her car was found, still running, in the yard of the library with no one in it. Right away, I must note that the first house ruler, the Sun, is in the first house in the sign Leo with Saturn 1 degree away. This conjunction can be either good or bad, depending on the rest of the chart. A first house ruler in the first house is usually a sign that the subject is still alive. But Saturn in the same place is not so good. We will have to wait and see. The chart co ruler, the Moon, is in the sixth house, disposed of by the first house Saturn. This is not good. Moon in Capricorn is in fall, which weakens it's power, and the placement in the sixth is very sad, often meaning that the victim will never be found (as already noted). It's disposal by Saturn in the first is also a possible omen, as Saturn usually describes the bones (or dead body) of the subject. But we have not yet seen a death pattern, so let's keep our thoughts on a better outcome.

The most telling aspect in this chart, I'm afraid, is the seventh house ruler (Uranus) placed in the eighth house. The seventh house ruler in the eighth is always a marker for a criminal, a bad guy. This is almost always a person who lives outside of society, on the edge, so to speak, outside the law. Often described as "dark and sleazy" in many older tomes, I prefer to say that this person has lived a hard life and is jaded; this person refuses to live the boring staid life that society condones. At the same time, Uranus is also often a marker for an unusual person, who does not play by the rules and does things in their own way. This can be good if this person is an artist but when it's in the eighth house, it more describes a dangerous person who has no morals or values. Uranus in Pisces with Neptune in mutual reception from the seventh, more than whispers that this person has a drug problem and/or some degree of mental illness. Lori's marker, the Sun, is almost exactly opposed to Uranus, telling me that she did not care for this person that much but might have a reason to be in his company. At least, until she became a victim. With the ninth house ruler in the seventh and the node also in the ninth, I would say that this person was driving Lori's car and may have carjacked it. At that time, this person considered the car to be his and at his disposal for whatever purpose. The node indicates that this person had a plan to take the car, with or without Lori's permission, I suppose. This validates the police theory that Lori most likely was not driving her own car at the time it was wrecked. The charts appear to support that.

Going back over the period of time that elapsed between the hour that Lori left the bbq and the hour when her car was found, the chart for 9:30 pm is my next and it is very telling. Notice how the first house ruler, Neptune, is in the twelfth. This supports the other charts that indicate she was "in bondage" to this man. He has her hidden somewhere, perhaps restrained in some manner. Neptune is in mutual reception with the twelfth house ruler, which is in the first house. The node is also in the first house. Perhaps Lori had made plans of some sort with her captor and then was surprised by the sudden turn in events. She apparently went along with the plan long enough to end up a captive. The Moon - Pluto conjunction is now in the tenth house, which is usually the home of the other person, which, in this case, is likely the man she left with. Mars is right at the seventh house cusp. When they got to his home, perhaps sometime around 9 pm, then he became violent and controlling, strong arming Lori and restraining her. The tenth house ruler is in the eighth and notice how Mercury, the seventh house ruler, is together with Venus in the fifth house. I believe this tells me that he took her back to his place to have his way with her. He resorted to violence to gain control over the situation and get what he wanted from her. Mars also rules the second house and Venus rules the eighth, so he was after her money as well. It is probable that he stole her winnings, raped her and possibly even killed her. I am still looking for a death pattern to show me her death or for the charts to otherwise show me what came of her at this mercy of this man.

The next chart to stand out to me and also to reflect a big change in events in the chart for 12:30 the next morning. Notice here that the Moon - Pluto conjunction is now in the eighth house. Mars, the current seventh house ruler, is now in the fifth house. This is a standout for sexual assault. The tenth house ruler is in the fourth and since this ruler is Saturn, it is telling us that the home is very old, in disrepair, possibly dirty and has very few amenities. Saturn in fall in the sign Leo says that the house has nothing special or attractive about it. It is what I might call an "ugly" house. The fourth house ruler is the Moon so it is likely that he does not live here year round or that he is only there temporarily. Venus, the first house ruler, in the sign Cancer conjoined Mercury in the third house is a good marker for a house that can be moved, such as a trailer, an RV, a boat, perhaps. I am suddenly pretty sure that he lived on a run down boat and this is where he took her. The boat probably doesn't run or has a broken engine. He has lived in various marinas and moorings in the boat, never staying anywhere long. He is a hard man to find. On this night, with all the planets in Pisces, Cancer and Sagittarius, I am sure his invitation to go to his boat seemed exciting and fun to Lori and so she went along.

After progressing the charts through every hour until the hour when her car was found, I am not seeing any death patterns. In fact, the charts are very similar to the ones we have already seen. Nothing much changes. These charts do echo the indicators that she was beaten, assaulted and held captive by a violent man. But I am not seeing any hints in these charts about where Lori may be or what happened to her. Is she dead or alive? Can she be found? The sixth house is telling us that finding her, dead or alive, is highly unlikely. Often this is because the subject does not want to be found but I have seen this in stone cold cases where a body has never been located. But what I want to know is if she is dead or alive. I am hunting for death patterns or indicators that she is on her own. So I end up running charts for the hours after the car was found and I eventually find what I am looking for. In the chart for 6:30 am, you can see the first house ruler, the Sun, rolling back into the twelfth with Saturn on the horizon. Mars is moving towards the first. The Moon and Pluto are in the fifth house, continuing the ongoing indicators that this has a sexual component. Is she being assaulted just for the fun of it or is this a sex slave situation? The Moon in the fifth is disposed of by Saturn at the first house cusp. This could indicate continued confinement or it could indicate a body reduced to bones (such as what occurs when someone dies). The fourth house ruler, Pluto, is also in the fifth and is disposed of by Jupiter in Scorpio in the fourth. This creates a mutual reception between Jupiter and Pluto, which seems to indicate the crazy notion that she is being restrained and sexually exploited. This pattern looks to me that she is being held as a sex servant, having sex for money. The co ruler of the fourth, Mars, is in her second house of money. The node is in the eighth house, another indicator that money is involved. Uranus, the seventh house ruler, is still in the eighth, telling us that she is definitely in the company of dangerous criminals.

I think the next chart gives us a viable death pattern. Notice that the first house ruler, the Sun, has moved into the twelfth, along with Saturn. This is an omen that she has "passed" and is now reduced to bones. Pluto, the fourth house ruler, has moved into the fourth, the resting place. The co ruler of the fourth house, Mars, is now in the first. I cannot be sure from these markers that she died exactly at this hour but that violence and abuse (Pluto, Saturn and Mars) damage her enough to bring her to the brink of death and possibly beyond. And perhaps when the Moon enters the fourth house, within the coming hour, that will be the coup de gras. We know she had health issues and was fragile in many ways. Saturn, the sixth house ruler at this hour, shows us a long standing health issue that played into her weakness and vulnerability. Moon in fall in Capricorn in the fifth house continues to describe a violent situation involving sexual exploitation. I am not convinced enough to say for sure if she is dead or alive. The pointers do indicate death but they are not strong. She could have nearly died or otherwise come very close and still be alive. It is just impossible for me to tell.

But I am pretty sure that what we see in these charts is a violent kidnapping and car jacking, a beating and a sexual assault that very likely brought about Lori's death. I do not believe, looking at these charts, that this young woman could have survived this. There is a slim possibility that she survived being held in confinement and used for sex and is possibly in slavery still today but if so, she is probably addicted to drugs. Neptune in the sixth house implies that she was drugged heavily to make her more compliant. But where is she? If she is alive, where can she be found? And if she is dead, where would be body be located? Do not forget that the charts are telling us she will never be found and this is born out by the aspects indicating her current location. Lori is north east of where her car was discovered. This is either where she was kept that night or it could be where her body was buried if she is, in fact, deceased. If she is alive she is being kept in an inaccessible place that is almost impossible to get to. And if she is dead and buried, then her body would be in the deepest, darkest, heavy forested area in the local area. Think of a deep woods area where sportsman hunt and the animals are larger than they are in other areas. Her body may be near a feral cat colony. Wild cats of all sizes may roam in this area. Are there local wildcats like panthers or cougars? Look in those areas where they hunt to find her body.

If Lori is still alive, she is most likely in the sex trade. She would be working in porn most likely, being photographed. She could be a prostitute as well, but she would be working in areas where she would be working in the business district or in an area with government buildings. She may also work an area along a strip of entertainment venues. The local theater district is a possibility. I do not see any indicator in these charts that she was taken to another part of the country. The third house in some of the charts do indicate that she was relocated from that house to another place but I believe if she is still alive she in the same area.

The man who kidnapped and carjacked Lori is described by Uranus in Pisces. He is addicted to drugs and is living a criminal lifestyle. He is an outlaw who makes up his own rules. He is unpredictable, violent and dangerous. In his personal life, he has an interest in the occult and supernatural. He may have used drugs to facilitate his investigation of paranormal things. He has a vivid imagination and can be paranoid at times. He also has a malicious turn of mind at times and can be mean. He can be verbally abusive. He is extremely critical of others and sees them as being beneath him. He has inflated ideas about his own ingenuity and intelligence. This man is extremely adventurous and has lived a peculiar, unusual life. He lacks fear in many situations and is often convinced he is right even when facing destruction. He can be unrealistic and views his own actions through rose colored glasses, always believing himself to be an innocent victim. He has sociopathic tendencies. He takes advantage of others for his own purposes and believes himself to be more deserving than his victims.

Young Man Disappears After Leaving Late Night Party

One name that has continuously been linked with Brian Shaffer’s disappearance is that of Anthony “Tony” Luzio. On the evening of July 3, 2005 Tony had gone to a friend’s house to play cards. Afterwards he stopped at a local hangout and around 2:30AM Tony and a group of friends went to a party, one mile from Tony’s parents house in Powell, Ohio.

Tony was last seen leaving the party at 4:00AM, presumably to his apartment. That was the last time anyone ever saw Tony Luzio again. His 2004 Honda Civic is also missing and has never been recovered. He disappeared just 15 miles from where Brian Shaffer disappeared.

This is all I have found on this case. It is poorly covered and the only reason I heard about it was because it was linked to the Brian Shaffer case, which I profiled previously. The reason they are linked is because they were from nearby areas in Ohio and there have been numbers of unsolved cases involving young men that had pictures of smiley faces nearby. This is referred to as "the smiley face murders", implying a serial killer at large, which is possible. However, there are no clues linking any of the cases other than the random faces on nearby structures and in both the Shaffer and Luzio cases there were no smiley faces at all. This does not preclude a link it just doesn't do much to support one, either. However, I thought I'd look into this case on it's own and if there happened to be some red flag that linked it to the Shaffer case somehow, I would note it. If you remember my post on Brian Shaffer, the charts had him leaving a bar with an employee there over a money thing. I am not sure if that will somehow show up in this one.

The first chart I drew up was for the last time Tony was seen, which was at 4 am, leaving a party. He had been socializing all night, moving from a card game to a bar and then to a private party. I remember what it was like to be young and energetic and to stay up all night on holidays like the fourth of July. Anyways, the chart has Gemini rising and Sagittarius falling. Mercury is in the third house and the Moon is in the first, near the Ascendant. The position of the Moon tells me that Tony is in control of his actions at this time and is "doing what he wants to". The Moon in Gemini is generally well aspected, which tells me he is having a good time and things are going his way. But the seventh house tells a slightly different story so we have to give it some thought. Pluto is in the seventh, loosely opposed to the Moon, which says there was someone afoot who was not so happy with Tony. Jupiter, the seventh house ruler, is in the fifth house, telling me that this person had been at the party and may have still been when Tony left. In other words, they did not leave together. The first house ruler has Tony getting into a car, most likely his own, and leaving.

Pluto in the seventh opposing the Moon in the first says there may have been an argument at the party. Not a fist fight, per se, but an exchange. Pluto in Sagittarius is also generally well aspected, showing me that this person is not a stranger or a "bad guy". This isn't some run of the mill criminal or transient. But the opposition to the Moon shows anger, animosity and even confrontations between this person and the subject. This person was angry this night as well. But not horribly angry. Just miffed. This most likely came about because of cross purposes; Tony wanted one thing and this person wanted another. Something simple like that. But not a red flag to the extent that I think Tony was in danger. This is just the only confrontational aspect I see at this time. Nothing dangerous or scary.




Mercury, Tony's ruler, is in Leo in the third. The Sun disposes Mercury from the second house. This tells me he might have had some money on him that night; I do not know if he gambled when he played cards but if he did, he was carrying his winnings. Because the Sun is a part of a planetary loop, where it is disposed of by Moon, it looks like Tony might have been bragging about winning the money and maybe showing off. Another thing I must mention is the conjunction of Venus to Mercury in the third house. This looks like a woman went with him when he left the party. Perhaps she needed a ride. However, the disposition of the Sun in the second house being the binding planet here, I think she went along because she saw the money he was showing off about. I don't know if Tony had a girlfriend but I am sure she wasn't with him if he did. However, I see nothing indicating a relationship or even an attraction here, just a woman in the car.

She may have been hanging around outside, asking for a ride. I am not sure but he spent some time in the car with her. The charts do not show him getting out of that car until almost 5:30 am, which is an hour and a half after leaving the party. This is not to say they drove the whole time, or it may be saying that she lived quite far away. I am not sure. Perhaps they went somewhere else to spend his money or perhaps she was a hooker and he was paying for her company. I just cannot even guess here. But when he does get out of the car, he gets out with her. They get out of the car together and it appears to be someplace Tony is unfamiliar with. The chart for 5:30 am shows Cancer rising with Moon in the twelfth. The Sun has moved into the first house. Saturn is also in the second, with Venus and Mercury. And this is where I see her more clearly. She is an older woman but I don't mean old. She may be a mother and talking him into taking her home to check on her kids. But there's something secret about it; something she isn't telling him.




And looking now at the chart for 6 am, I have to take a guess that Tony was killed. Cancer rising with Moon in the twelfth, trine Neptune in the eighth and Jupiter in the fourth. Pluto in the sixth and Saturn creeping into the first. A death pattern if I've ever seen one! Considering that the Moon is exactly conjunct the fixed star, Bellatrix, and Pluto is close to Sabik, this looks like a sexual type of murder. Clearly, he was killed by a woman who used her sexual wiles to attract him and pull him into a trap. There may have been promises of a sexual nature that were too tempting to resist. But she was hiding something and I think it was a man at her home... or wherever it was that she had Tony take her. The Sun is right at the Ascendant with Saturn right behind it. Jupiter is angular in the fourth house, opposing Mars in the tenth. There was a confrontation.. and not long after Tony arrived at the place. In fact, he was met face to face by this man and with Pluto opposing the Moon, this was a night for confrontations. Significant planets in the second house widely opposed by eighth house Neptune tells me that this was a robbery scheme. He had been showing off the money and she had plans to steal it. She just didn't have the means.. or the strength.. or the weapon she needed and the boyfriend or brother or husband or pimp did. Mars in Aries in the tenth is a powerful angular planet. Tony was shot in the head at close range and was instantly killed. Mars close to the Node there also hints that this was planned out. She had probably called her accomplice from the party.




So what these charts are telling me is that he was either followed out of the party or he directly left the party with a woman. The fact that no reports of a woman have come out in this case puzzles me. It leaves me thinking that either no one knew her and therefor paid no attention to her ..... or she was not at the party the whole time and left earlier and waited outside... or she was seen leaving with him but not by people who knew either of them. If reports had him leaving alone, then perhaps she followed him outside and approached him as he tried to leave. It's anyone's guess. She talked him into driving her quite some distance to a place outside of his home area and then lured him inside where he was shot by a male accomplice. They wanted his money, plain and simple. By definition, Venus in Leo, defines a flashy woman who was wearing clothes that get attention. Possibly also wearing gold jewelry. It's hard to imagine Venus in Leo leaving a room and no one noticing.




As far as where Tony may be now, the signature for his body is Moon in Gemini. In traditional horary, the Moon places his body near water, possibly in a pond, a river or even the sewer. Gemini defines a fork in the road, an area with small, busy neighborhood roads, someplace close perhaps to tennis courts, badminton, golf, parking garages or a library. I know this makes the area large and not definite. But the inference of water along with small busy roads and a possible fork in the road is the first place I'd look. A body of water near a busy country road that forks at some point. If there are nature parks nearby, someplace with hand sports like tennis or shuffleboard, then all the better. However, another scenario may be a body of water near a golf course. Or a sewer line in an area near a parking garage. In terms of local area, I would say that he was dumped in a place south by southeast from where he started out. This is determined by Moon in Gemini in the twelfth house.

However, there is always a possibility that I am completely wrong! Imagine that. And if I am, then Tony could be anywhere, hanging out, or even held hostage. I think this is unlikely but I won't discourage people from looking for him. So I am posting his picture here for my readers to take note of and if anyone has any information that they feel might be pertinent to this case, then they should call 1-877-645-TIPS. Young Man Walks Into Bar and Never Walks Out

On the night of Friday, March 31st 2006; Brian Shaffer, a 27 year old 2nd year medical student at OSU went out with friends to have a few drinks and celebrate the beginning of Spring break 2006; it was his 'time out with the guys'. At around 9:30pm, the men headed to the Ugly Tuna Saloona, a bar located near the OSU campus. At 9:56pm, Brian called Alexis -his girlfriend- who at the time was visiting her family in Toledo, OH. He told her he loved her and that he would see her when she came back to Columbus; the two had planned on taking a vacation to Miami and were scheduled to leave for Florida on Monday, April 3rd. Shortly after talking to Alexis, Brian and his friend walked down to the Arena District in Columbus, OH; they stopped at the North Short Tavern and then went to Brother's, where they met with other friends. One of the friends drove them back to the Ugly Tuna Saloona, where they are seen in the surveillance tape at 1:15 am. The next time Brian is seen on cameras, he was outside of the Ugly Tuna, at the top of the escalator, talking with two girls; he appears to say 'bye' and turns towards the bar, he then disappears from the camera's view and has not been seen since.

Two years later, there are still no answers. Numerous searches have been conducted including the construction area by the Ugly Tuna Saloona, numerous locations close to his disappearance including help from Texas Equusearch and numerous search agencies in the Ohio area but to no avail. At one point, the police were looking for an individual seen on the escalator (the man with the orange sweater) - this has been ruled out and not considered linked to Brian's case. Conversations have been had with the 2 girls who were outside the bar speaking with Brian but they were not able to provide any additional information to help locate Brian. It truly feels as if he just disappeared but we all know, Brian is SOMEWHERE and needs to be located.

The two men arrived at the Ugly Tuna Saloon around 9:15PM and had a few shots. He and Alexis spoke on his cell phone around 10:30PM. Brian and Clint then left the Ugly Tuna Saloon around 11:00PM and walked to Short North Tavern and then to another bar around 11:40PM. By 1:15AM they were back at the Ugly Tuna where their evening had begun.

Brian can be seen in the grainy surveillance video returning to the Ugly Tuna around 1:15AM. He can also he seen on the foyer near the escalators speaking with some girls that Clint knew. He then walks out of the bottom right side of the camera and Brian Shaffer disappears into thin air.

By 2:00M its closing time. Clint calls Brian on his cell phone and it goes straight to voice mail. He goes to the men’s room and looks for him but Brian is not there either. Eventually Clint assumes Brian has left and he leaves as well.

Saturday, April 1st Alexis continuously tried to call Brian with no luck. The couple had plans to leave town for a Spring Break vacation in Florida that following Monday. By Sunday she was scared and knew something was not right.

One baffling aspect of this case that still perplexes law enforcement today is the fact that Brian could not be seen on surveillance leaving the bar after he had re-entered. Both bar exits are covered by cameras, as is the escalator in which you see Brian enter and leave and enter again.

Outside the bar, out of camera view, are stairs and an elevator that lead to the first floor. Once on the first floor, the only way out, without being seen on tape, would be through a service exit that leads to a construction site, with doors to the street.

Brian’s credit cards, bank account and cell phone have not been used. There have been no significant leads to indicate what happened that Friday night.

Today Brian’s father continues the quest to find answers and to find his son. After all, not knowing is the hardest.

Thanks to an astute reader who emailed me this case I was able to give it a shot. I had never heard of it so I am always grateful to readers who mail me cases from their area. In fact, I'd like to turn this blog into a "request only" blog, where readers send me cases from their areas with details I need. If you want to email me a case, always include the month, day and year they disappeared along with the time they were last seen and / or the time at which they are discovered. If they are still alive and missing, then the time at which they are last seen, within a 4 or 5 hour window is necessary. If they are dead, then both the time they were discovered along with the TOD, if known. If you have mailed me a case and I have not done it on the blog, it is most likely due to the window of time. I cannot do charts for events that could have happened over many days. It's just not possible to do an accurate or honest reading that way. Every day of our lives aspects exist that create danger and death; I mean, think about it, somebody dies every day, if not every hour of every day. So any given time can be read for death, but is it the same person we're talking about, or somebody else? This is a trick with Astrology and depends heavily upon specific windows of time. So remember that when sending me cases.

And now, for Brian Shaffer. In regards to this case, anyone who has been bars where students gather, it can be said that closing time is always dangerous. Everyone is looking to hook up and the drinking keeps people from being as careful as they should be. In this case, we have Brian returning to an earlier spot just before closing to end the night. The cameras have him entering the bar and then the trail goes cold. There is no record of him leaving the bar so what happened to Brian? This one makes me feel like I'm Nancy Drew; this one looks impossible to solve. So the first chart I draw up for Brian is for that last time he was seen, on the camera entering the bar at 1:15 am. Right away, I note that Sagittarius is rising and Jupiter is in the tenth. This echoes the fact that he was right out in the open, where he could be seen by anyone and, in fact, was seen. Notice also that Gemini is on the seventh cusp while Mercury is in the second house, crossing into the third. He was actually seen speaking to people who were leaving the bar as he went back in. Mercury's movement shows us people leaving an enclosed area to step outside, in a parking lot or neighborhood, both defined by Mercury and the sign Gemini. Probably headed to their cars (Gemini again). Mercury was in Pisces, disposed of by Neptune, so perhaps some of these people had been drinking or using drugs and were impaired. Overall, this chart could be not be clearer nor simpler to read. He was outside, speaking to people who were leaving the bar as he went back in.



But you must admit that it is fascinating that this young man, who was seen on camera one minute, disappears forever in the next. But, the charts expound on this as you move them forward. Within 15 minutes, at 1:30 am, Capricorn moves onto the Ascendant and Saturn is in the seventh house. He has been joined by someone else. Who is this person? Looking at the seventh house, Cancer is on the cusp and the Moon is ruling from the fourth. This person works at the bar. I know this because the fourth house is the tenth house for the seventh, showing someone at their job or career position. This person is prominent at the bar, perhaps an owner, operator, bartender, bouncer, promoter or performer. Ruled by the Moon, with the Moon in Taurus, this might be someone who is involved in the day to day operations of the bar and might be responsible for handling money or accounting for transactions. Or he or she may have been involved in the preparation of food, if food was served here. Saturn is Brian's marker and it is in the sign Leo. It is disposed of by the Sun in Aries in the third house. This hints that Brian left the bar with this employee and that they left through an employee exit. I am curious to ask, considering the chart, if there might have been a wine cellar beneath the bar or an underground storage area or business office. And if there were cameras at employee exits and if anyone has viewed the films from those cameras.



Another aspect I must point out is that the Moon is disposed of by Venus in the second house, conjoined there with Neptune. Was this employee also a drug dealer? If Brian was resistant to drugs and would not have gone anywhere for this reason, then perhaps he was offered money? Or perhaps he was offered something else for sale? What would have motivated Brian to leave the bar with this person? If it was not drugs, then someone was conned. Something shady and possibly illegal is implicated with Neptune in the second house. He may have been led away by a lie and then robbed. Theft is a possible motive. Perhaps he was asked to help a sick person? He was a medical student; was a "hero" type? Neptune and Uranus are in mutual reception so there was a lot of unexpected twists and turns in the events as they transpired this night. Moon in Taurus is also square to Neptune, which again hints at the possibility that someone got ripped off or hustled; perhaps things were promised that could not be delivered? Another important aspect that runs through the evening is the trine from the transiting node in Aries to Saturn in Leo. Since Saturn is Brian's marker, this is a symbol of "kismet" to me, a sign that this event occurred for a bigger reason. Brian's disappearance (or death, if that happened) would be "fated" in a way, or, predestined, if you are so inclined. His marker trining the north node also whispers that "things went as planned". Not a good feeling for those who are looking for Brian and wishing for his return. But comfort should always be found in the knowledge that things are as they should be.. or, in other words, working within God's plan.

All of the charts I run up until now show that Brian was still alive, fine, and went along of his own accord. He was not kidnapped, restrained or forced. Pluto does cross the ascendant, but this happens early on before he disappears. However, it might have a meaning in that regard, from the possibility that there was anger aroused by someone in his company hours before he was last seen.. but that is not a given. There are no aspects involving Mars or the eighth house ruler and no forward planets that point to violence.. or death, for that matter. So far, I see no sign that Brian died or is dead. But I do keep seeing Neptune in a prominent place throughout the night and this does call for attention. Saturn, Brian's marker, is also retrograde, which is a sign that can't be ignored. When the ruler of the party is retrograde it is a planetary sign that he will not be seen again, or at the very least, not for a very long time indeed. Neptune in the first points to deception and fraud. Neptune is conjoined Venus, which rules the fourth house, and this seems to say that the ruse was played on family or involved a family in some way. But from my knowledge, Brian had a girlfriend he loved dearly and had a father and a brother left, who are all still searching for him. Unless, of course, Brian had another family? Is this possible? Is there a woman somewhere with children? Or an ex wife? The chart does not say this clearly, but there are hints here and there. And I am not saying this is a sure thing.. it is just suggested by the chart that a deception was being played out and that it involved family... someone's family, not necessarily Brians. Just someone's. Beyond that, I am not sure what this implies. However, one must remember that this was April 1st or April Fool's Day and many cruel jokes are often played.



Watching the seventh house, in the hopes of seeing who he is with, I note that Saturn, Brian's marker, is disposed of by the Sun, which is in the third house. He is getting into a car. Every chart I look at shows that gets into a car. Along with this, I remind that Cancer rules the seventh house and the Moon is placed in the fourth. This is a sure sign that Brian accompanied this person to his or her home. The Moon seems to point to a woman but I won't swear on it. Venus rules the fourth house cusp so it's a strong possibility that either the woman lived in the home alone or was present with the men arrived. It looks like they went in someone else's car, not Brians. As another point of interest, I must point out the opposition between Mars and Pluto. At this point, this aspect has not come into play. But it is like a buried bomb; if at anytime these planets move into the foreground or end up ruling an angle, then this aspect will blow up and most likely in violence. So this is an aspect we must watch as the hours move the ascendant along. From the progressions I see that they get out of the car and enter the house sometime between 2:30 and 3 in the morning. And up until now, he seems fine and to be going along willingly. Moving everything far into the morning and drawing a chart for 3:30 am, I see that Aquarius takes the ascendant and Uranus moves into the first. Leo on the seventh puts the Sun in the second house, conjoined to the node. This is a sure sign that Brian is where he wants to be; he is there because he chose to go there. At this point, I see money coming into play again, as if this is where they discuss the cost or price of something. There is definitely a focus on money, as if they went there so someone could repay a debt or pay someone for something. However, it is in this chart that I first see a sign of danger; not a huge dark one, though, just a hint. Uranus, Brian's marker, is now conjoined Mercury which rules the eighth house. The eighth house cusp, in turn, is now moving towards a square with the transiting Mars-Pluto opposition. Not good. Not a guarantee Brian will die but scary nonetheless.




And then it is between 4:00 and 5:00 in the morning that the charts take a dark turn. The aspect I've been watching, Mars opposite Pluto, has moved into the fourth/tenth house axis. The ascendant moves onto Pisces and Neptune falls immediately into the twelfth. Saturn lingers in the sixth and Pluto's dispositor, Jupiter, has moved into the eighth. Brian is in grave danger at this point; the chart is beginning to form a death pattern. And a violent death pattern as well. Notice also that the transiting Moon in Taurus has just completed an opposition with Jupiter from the second house. It is also just beginning to square Neptune in the twelfth. This is an argument over money. Somebody didn't produce something they promised or someone didn't have the money that was expected. And Brian is killed over it. Mars in Gemini, Jupiter in Sagittarius and Neptune in Aquarius makes me think he was stabbed. Somebody grabbed a knife or other utensil and went at him in a fit of rage. It does not look planned to me. I can see nothing but Brian going along willingly, with no danger at all up until this hour. Notice how the seventh house ruler, Mercury, is conjunct to Uranus right at the ascendant. This was sudden, unexpected and unplanned. This person flipped out, grabbed a sharp instrument and killed Brian. It's that strange and yet that simple. Scary. And it looks again a lot like theft. I think they lured him there with the promise of something and he brought money. Then they killed him over the money. I do not think they planned to kill him; I think they planned to rob him, maybe knock him out. But they realized they could not do it without being caught if they left him alive, this man took things into his own hands and killed Brian right there.



And so now the charts have taken a dark turn and this makes me sad. I was really hoping, up until this last hour or so, that he had just taken off and would come back some day. However, with Saturn ruling the ascendant for most of the night and being retrograde in motion, it is traditional to read that as a "never return". Often, with that aspect, the body is never even found; this due to the rulership of the bones by Saturn. They literally remain buried so long they just disintegrate or end up destroyed by outside activities like backhoes, animals or fires. But I must also say that I hope his brother does not read this and if he does, he discards my findings because this is the worst part of working with these cases, when you have to say ugly things. I am only hoping to find out whether Astrology can be helpful in these cases, I am not trying to ruin lives. Perhaps Astrology is not helpful at all and this is all just another exercise in my own lifelong studies. Not every test in the lab comes out correctly. I really hope in this case I am flat out wrong. As always, I welcome other readers to view these charts and give a different story. I look forward to it. And with that said, I must move forward and see what else I find here, most especially who this person is who killed this young man and then consciously went about disposing of him in secret. This person is a murderer and must be brought to justice. And so I will make my usual sorry stab at describing the killer and then I will try to see where he left Brian when all was said and done.

At the time of death, according to the sky charts, Mercury ruled the seventh cusp and Mercury was in Pisces, conjunct to Uranus. By the way, these planets were right at the ascendant, telling me that this person looked Brian right in the eye and did not sneak up on him. This was a face to face fight. But Uranus here describes a person who is unpredictable and unusual. With Mercury, he may have been a very bright man but not always a good one. In fact, this placement is the marker of the brilliant con man or criminal who steals, sells dope and lies for a living and always stays one step ahead of the law. Pisces describes somebody fleshy and short, a little on the plump side, probably with dark hair and light eyes. Also I would say they have rounded, soft features. With Uranus, there is something unusual about this man; near Mercury, I would say he had odd looking eyes or a scar or other marking over or around one or both eyes. He may wear offbeat glasses and have an unusual style of hair. There is no doubt that there would be something standout about him, something that people don't easily forget. Because Brian went willingly with these people and he died in a face to face fight with this man, those looking for the killer should consider closely Brian's circle of friends. Most especially someone who worked in the Ugly Tuna or knew someone who did.



And then I move into the area of trying to discover what this man did with Brian after he killed him. I see in the charts between 5 and 6 in the morning, they put Brian in a car. They took him down the road and then pushed him out. This is shown in these charts by Aries on the ascendant and Mars moving from the fourth house into the third. Then by 6:30 am, Mars moves out of the third into the second. And it is in the sign Gemini. This means that Mars in Gemini ends up defining the area where Brian was pushed out of the car. This combination points at various kinds of places, such as, for instance, a library with a war memorial nearby or a cannon in a park in the same area or even metal statues right in front of the library. Is there a library in the area with these kinds of war memories or weapons displays? Perhaps a military library or a place where they store records of munitions? If not, then consider also a nursery or public gardens with herbs, onions, garlic or hops or red peppers. He could be buried in a garden with these types of plantings. Other areas where he may have been taken include a mountain where there is a mineral mine, he might be left in an abandoned mine shaft. Also consider a military operated laboratory with scientific instruments, if there is a military base nearby that does research. Other places that should be considered are tennis or badminton courts in a park area with outdoor grills or fire pits; there might also be a gun or archery range. And then the simplest of all: a large field with red blooms; bright red eye catching flowers! Any of these sorts of places can be indicated by Mars in Gemini. Only people who live in that area would know which of these things might apply.

And, again, I must admit that I hope I am wrong. His father and brother miss him very much and I feel badly that I have seen his death in the charts. But since they have never found a body nor do they have an evidence of his death, we can assume that Brian may very well be alive. In that spirit, please look at his photo and commit it to memory.
