Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a 20-year-old Glendale woman who has been reported missing since Monday.
Elaine Park was last seen the morning of Jan. 28, and her family subsequently reported her missing. Her car was found sometime on Feb. 2 parked along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, according to Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William.
“Elaine’s personal property was found in the vehicle along with the keys,” he said.
Glendale Police Department spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot said police then conducted a search of the coastline and of the car. Authorities were unable to locate Park, and no evidence of foul play was found in her vehicle, she said.
“We are focusing our efforts, at the moment, with speaking to all of Elaine’s friends,” Lightfoot said.
Park’s brother told KTLA she was at her ex-boyfriend’s home before she went missing. However, Lightfoot said no one is currently a suspect in Park’s disappearance.
Park is described as 5 feet 6, approximately 125 pounds, with long brown hair with blond tips. She also has a tattoo of a cow’s skull on the upper part of her left arm with another tattoo of an unknown design on the lower half of the same arm.
In Southern California, authorities are asking for the public's help in searching for a 20-year-old Glendale woman who has been missing for over a week, with her car found abandoned in Malibu.
Elaine Park was last seen in the early morning hours of January 28 after a date with her boyfriend. She had been considered to be voluntarily missing until deputies found her car on February 2, parked along Pacific Coast Highway with the her key, cellphone and other personal belongings inside.
Police have been actively searching the coastline in and around the area where Park's car was found. There is no evidence of foul play, and no one is currently a suspect in Park's disappearance.
According to Glendale Police, her status is now "critical missing."
Park is described as Korean American, 5-foot-6, 125 pounds with a thin build, long brown hair with blond tips and brown eyes. She is known to where heavy mascara and make up and has a tattoo of a cow skull on her upper left arm with another tattoo of an unknown design on the lower half of the same arm.
Glendale police suspended their search efforts for Park on Feb. 3 but said they were continuing the investigation and turning to her family and friends for help. Park was reported missing on Jan. 30 by family members and her vehicle was found in Malibu on Feb. 2, parked along Pacific Coast Highway with her keys, cellphone and other personal property inside.
Last week, William said, a Los Angeles County search and rescue team searched for Park in the Malibu area but could not find her.
What bothers Susan Park is the roughly hour of video footage on Jan. 28 from 6:05 a.m. to 7:14 a.m. — when Elaine Park’s vehicle is leaving her boyfriend’s home in the 2600 block of Delphine Lane Calabasas but before she is seen leaving through a community gate. That time period is unaccounted for, Susan Park said.
She said she received two DVD’s with private footage and community footage that omits the hour.
“It was almost pitch dark,” Susan Park said, when her daughter’s car leaves the community gate at 7:14 a.m. — roughly 69 minutes after she drove away from her boyfriend’s house. “You can’t really see if it’s her as the vehicle is driving out. You clearly see a license plate number.”

I was sent this case by a reader and it caught my eye because I have had several similar ones in the recent past. The consistent feature in all of them is the discovery of the victims car with all their belongings still in it. Although these cases may have been carjackings the presence of belongings with the car in undamaged condition is not ordinary for these types of crimes. Most carjackings are about money. These crimes don't look like ordinary robberies. There are also similar features in the charts. I will show you what they are.
This chart is drawn for a few minutes after she leaves her boyfriends home and you can see that she is stopped and confronted right away. The seventh house ruler, the Moon, is right there in the first, showing a confrontation. The Moon is disposed of by Uranus in the third house, showing a vehicle as being the "intention". I don't consider the Sun in this chart even though it rises in the first. It does not rule a house or have power other than it's presence in the angular first.
I do not like the placement of the tenth house ruler with the eighth house ruler in the twelfth. It sort of hints at hidden motives. Although it looks like, from this end, that the intention was a car jacking, these other placements seem to indicate there is more to it.
This next chart features the Sun as it moves onto the seventh house cusp. This makes the Moon the secondary chart ruler and with these two in the first house, you see the actual meeting between Elaine and her kidnapper. As before, these planets are disposed of by Uranus, now in the second house and showing us the emphasis on money in this matter. The car + money? Again, the tenth house ruler is in the twelfth and now the secondary ruler, Mars, is in the second, bringing the money theme together. Is this a business? A carjacking business? Or is there something more?
Just like the last case I did, Marcela Garcia, this happened out in the open in daylight hours, the car was dumped with her money and belongings still in it and the woman is missing. In the Garcia case, I was seeing abduction and possible trafficking. But here, in these charts I see the Moon in the first, which indicates, in general, that Elaine either knew this person or went along willingly for some reason. The presence of money markers makes me wonder if she owed somebody money or if a promise of money was involved in this.
The first house ruler is now in the second house, which I often have seen as the trunk of the car. It is probable that they forced her into the trunk and drove out of the complex in her car. Node in the seventh also tells me that this was planned in advance. But I am not sure that Elaine did not know about this plan already. I just can't say for sure.
And this chart appears to tell the same story. With Moon in the first, it looks like she is in control of the situation and with the seventh house ruler, the Sun, in the twelfth, the other person appears to be behind her in some manner, perhaps to remain unseen. Even though the first house ruler remains in the second house I am now thinking that this is not the trunk of the car after all but a money marker. The first house ruler, Uranus, with the dispositor, Mars, also in Aries, together in the second house seem to indicate a forced or pressured "highjacking" of sorts in order to get money. Now, how this plays out I am not sure. But did Elaine owe money for drugs? Was she a sex worker? A performer of any sort? It just seems like she knew about this situation in advance, such as knowing she owed the money, perhaps, or was interested in the money being offered, etc.. I just can't pin it down.
And the chart for an hour later continues the same theme. The first house ruler is now Neptune and it is placed in the first, telling me again that Elaine is in control somehow. Mercury, the seventh house ruler, is in the eleventh house with Pluto, both in Capricorn, disposed of by Saturn in the tenth with Saturn disposed of by Jupiter in the eighth. She is going somewhere willingly but she will be killed when she gets there. These are people she knows, that she considers "friends" (the eleventh house) but the Saturn connection and the eighth house disposition tells me they had plans for her. The node opposes Neptune so she did not know about their plans and would not have gone along if she had. But Neptune indicates she was hiding something, keeping it from others. This may have been connected to a hidden life, a dark side of Elaine. The Moon in the twelfth supports this theory and if you notice, it is still disposed of by Uranus, still in the second house. Elaine was earning money in some dark manner that she kept to herself. A double life perhaps?
In this chart I immediately notice the change in the Ascendants and arrival of Uranus in the first, indicators that something in the situation has changed. The first house ruler is tucked into the twelfth with the seventh house ruler with Neptune nearby, disposing of the seventh house ruler. She is being taken somewhere to be hidden, or a place where they won't be found. I am not sure, at this point, if they intend to hide her for a longer term. Notice also Mercury and Pluto together in the tenth house. The tenth marks the home of the abductor or, at least, their current location. Mercury and Pluto indicate an altercation, most likely a verbal dressing down, that occurs once they arrive at this new location. Overall, things do not look good for Elaine at this point and the charts as I have seen them do not get better.
In this chart, the first and seventh house rulers are in the eleventh, a standard marker for "alternative" sex or sex between people who are not partners. This does not describe rape, per se, at least not these aspects at this time. The fourth house ruler with the chart co ruler in the tenth house supports the theory that they are in this house. Uranus rules the tenth from the twelfth house in the sign Aries, an indicator that this is a "hideout" or a place where outlaws on the run hide from the law. This interpretation goes back to the old days when they were called outlaws. LOL. Today, they are criminals.
Although there were money markers in the abduction chart they are not ongoing so this may not have had anything to do with money. They do not appear to be using her for cash. She has a connection with this person, this has been shown in most of the charts including the abduction chart, but I am not sure what at this point. There are altercations, mostly verbal, and she has appeared to go along willingly up to this point. So is this a boyfriend? And ex boyfriend? A secret lover? Whatever, there are sexual contacts also in this chart and they do not appear to be brutal so it is not rape. So what is it?
I have one more question for those who knew her. Did she have a stalker? Someone harassing her? Whatever the relationship was it was not good and this chart shows her death, which is very sad. Apparently the sex did get brutal and she died during the act. You can see the seventh house ruler in the fifth, a marker for sexual activity with romantic overtones and with the first house ruler together with Pluto in the eighth this shows how brutal it became. Perhaps she rejected him or didn't do for his offers... something that sparked his anger? But during this sexual encounter, forced or not, he escalates and kills her.
Pluto in Capricorn is not as puglistic as Pluto in Taurus might be but it does indicate a beating rather than a shooting or a stabbing, for instance, and most likely with a wooden object of some sort. Most likely triggered by something said (Mercury). Saturn ruling the seventh house in the sign Sagittarius describes a rugged individual much older than our victim, perhaps a LOT older. The age difference may be the cause of her rejection although I think it would be because she had a boyfriend already. Frustration over the age difference and disparity in lifestyles (he is more of an outdoorsy, woodsy type who probably hunts and spends a lot time on the road) would be a good reason to reject an offer for a relationship. Besides the fact that he is likely a criminal (Uranus) and has spent time in confinement (Saturn).
Here you see Saturn, which marks the body after death, in Sagittarius, disposed of by Jupiter in Libra in the fourth house. This shows she was left somewhere close to home. Then you see the Moon and Sun in the eighth, disposed of by Uranus in Aries in the tenth, showing again she was killed in this "hideout" and disposed of nearby. This place is in the woods, near a park of some sort. Aries shows bbq pits and other fire pits while Mars shows hunters and fishermen, people who use weapons and sharp objects like hooks. Jupiter disposed of by Venus in Pisces with Neptune nearby in the ninth she was disposed of by water. The air signs mixed with water indicate a waterfall. Any park near her home that also has a waterfall would be where to search for her. The maps I looked at indicated there are several parks and 3 waterfalls. I apologize for this but I just can't get any more precise.
It was a chilly Friday afternoon in 1988 when April was abducted walking home from a friend’s house. Her body was found three days later about 20 miles away in a rural area dotted with Amish farms.
Despite an intensive search, police were unable to find her killer. Two years later, a message written in pencil or crayon appeared on a barn door not far from where April’s body had been discovered. The writer claimed responsibility for the murder.
Then, in the spring of 2004, four notes appeared at various residences in the Fort Wayne area—several placed on bicycles that young girls had left in their yards—believed to be written by the killer. The notes, all on lined yellow paper, were placed inside baggies along with used condoms or Polaroid pictures of the killer’s body. Several of the notes referred to April Tinsley.
April 1, 1988 was Good Friday and Tinsley, a first grader at Fairfield Elementary in Fort Wayne, Ind., got together with two friends to play after school. Around 3:30 p.m. Tinsley indicated she was going to walk down the street to fetch an umbrella she’d left at a friend’s house. A witness later described seeing Tinsley forced into a battered blue pickup by a white man in his 30s. On April 4, a jogger discovered Tinsley’s body in a ditch in Spencerville, about 20 miles northeast of Fort Wayne. She’d been raped and suffocated.
Tips came in, but the case went cold. Two years later, on May 21, 1990, a teenage boy in northeast Fort Wayne called police with a peculiar story. Over the course of several days he’d noticed a message scrawled on a barn door getting progressively darker and more readable.
Someone had first written the macabre message in pencil, then returned the next day and drew over it in crayon, then returned a final time to write over it in black marker.
“I kill April Marie Tisley” it said, misspelling her last name. “I kill again.” There’s also a “ha ha.”
Three weeks after the message was left at the barn 7-year-old Sarah Bowker disappeared from her Fort Wayne apartment complex. Her body was found the next day in a nearby ditch. Like April, Sarah had been sexually assaulted and suffocated. For unknown reasons the FBI, after analyzing the cases, said they didn’t believe the same perpetrator was responsible. But a coroner who examined both bodies, Dr. Phillip O’Shaughnessy, publicly stated he believed it was the same killer.
This case is really old but it involves a child and that always gets me. I want the monster who did this put behind bars or, better yet, executed. So I'm posting this to reawaken interest in this sad case. There is nothing "ha ha" about it. It is so sad it brings tears to my eyes. The case they draw in comparison, the case of Sarah Bowker, is similar to April's case but, for some reason, little has been written or shared about it. This little child was only 7. She had been raped and suffocated as well. As much as I would love to do the Bawker case and compare my findings to the Tinsley case, there are no times given for Sarah. I found a single newspaper article scanned into google docs and it is sparse. The cases were two years apart and the cops sort of dropped the ball on Sarah's. They just couldn't make the connection, which I find appaling. I also found a book about unsolved crimes in which this child was briefly mentioned, along with the conclusion by the police that the cases were unrelated and this while there were 90 other attempted abductions of girls the same age in the same area. Nothing amazes me anymore but I can still be disappointed.
So I am limited to analyzing the Tinsley case. In the first chart, for the time she went missing, I am using both Mercury (she was young) and the fifth house ruler (on her own and not with adults) to depict this child. Mercury is in the seventh house, showing her to be in the company of someone else and since Mercury is conjunct the node, we can assume this was planned. She was probably stalked and had seen this man before and may even have known him. The seventh house ruler, Neptune, is in the sign Capricorn, disposed of by Saturn in Capricorn in the fourth. Saturn is in dignity and is one of the powerful planets in this chart, being angular as well. What this tells us is that this man had lived in her neighborhood for a very long time and is familiar to the neighbors. Uranus and Saturn close to Neptune also tells us that he is unusual, a bit quirky, known to be a recluse, perhaps. Capricorn describes a very old home with a long family history, probably some degree of wealth. His parents were probably in business in the community and admired. But they are now deceased and he is alone, perhaps with money and no need to work. He spends most of his time looking at children (Neptune in the fifth house). He has most likely molested children in the past and it may be previous incidents that have been covered up because of his family heritage.
The placement of the eighth house ruler in the fifth usually shows us the rape of a child. Combined with the fifth house planet, Mars, being disposed of by Saturn in the fourth house, we are seeing the child dieing during the assault. This occurred in a home (the fourth house). Saturn conjoined Neptune in the fourth as Neptune rules the seventh, we can assume the home in question belonged to the kidnapper. The fourth house ruler (Jupiter) in the eighth house of death reasserts the idea that she was killed in his home.
There is not a lot to the charts, as there often isn't when the case involves children, making the reading simple. This is the case for many reasons, not the least being the helplessness of a child and the complexity that arises when older adults are taken.
The fourth house ruler in the ninth house tells us that he lives in an area surrounded with woods and may even be staying in a hunting lodge or cabin. Rustic but not run down. Jupiter in Taurus tells us there is a grill, either indoors or out, where the animals he kills are cooked or burned. Venus at the tenth house cusp (inside the ninth) is near the Pleiades, the fixed star formation known as the "weeping sisters" and which usually portends the shedding of tears. It is a marker for great sadness and loss. The tenth house rules the public and the authoriites (along with the ninth) and shows us just how upsetting the death of this child was for everyone who knew her.
Capricorn, like all earth signs, describes earthen places, such as farms, especially those with animals in cages (Saturn). I understand she was found in a rural area near Amish farms. I googled Amish farms in SC and found that most were either chicken ranches or dairy farms, both types of industry known for keeping animals in cages. Saturn also describes restrictive lifestyles, which describes most religious communities, and also describe antiquated lifestyles, which the Amish are known to be, with their old fashioned clothing and living quarters.
This chart shows us the Moon rising in the first, which is our last indicator that April was alive. Moon disposed of by Venus in the ninth again describes the place she was being held as rustic and in the woods, or near a wooded area. Could this describe the Amish area where she was found? Was she taken there and then killed? Could her killer have been Amish? It seems insane but not impossible. The ninth house also describes religions, religious beliefs, churches, religious communities and religious teaching. Most especially the teaching aspect.
With this chart, I am beginning to think it is possible her killer was from the Amish community. The seventh house ruler, Pisces and Neptune, is often associated with drugs but it is also known to relate to religions, especially cults and missions. The disposition of Neptune by Saturn and to have Neptune together with Uranus and Saturn in Capricorn, is to describe an old fashioned, spartan and disciplined lifestyle that could be applied to the Amish. A few more things I must point out now and then I will move on. Mars in the fifth, which describes her assault, is also disposed of by Saturn and is in trine aspect to the rising Venus in Taurus, which is conjoined the Pleaides. This seems to bring it all together and make it seem possible that a religious man from that community decided to do this and even relished creating the misery? Wow. That's really sad. But I want to get off of this and move on.
I believe, from the charts, that April died around 6 pm that evening. In the chart for 6:40 pm, as shown, you can see the first house ruler, Venus, entering the eighth house of death and the Moon, the chart co ruler, entering the twelfth house of endings. Saturn now rules the fourth from dignity and since Saturn rules the dead body, I believe we can say that April died in his home. Capricorn again describes his home as rustic and wooded. It also describes his community as an old one so the area he lives in is older and not a new construction. It would make sense if it were a farm or hunting cabin in an area like the Amish community near by.
This chart for the time when they found her body is an ugly one. Notice the Moon with Pluto in the fifth house, Pluto describing the violence and brutality of the crime and in the fifth house, which describes children. Also, Pluto in the fifth is a marker for sexual assault. Both of these planets are disposed of by Mars in the seventh, showing a violent perpetrator and someone dangerous. Since Mars is disposed of by Saturn in the sixth, I might be convinced that this person worked on one of the farms in the area, perhaps chopping wood, building homes or transporting lumber to and fro. He would have lived in the same area. Mars disposed of by Saturn in the sixth house is a marker indicating he will never be found. He has gotten away with it for this long. The victims marker, the Moon, in the fifth with Pluto shows us again how ugly this was. She was assaulted and killed in a violent fashion. Mars also rules the tenth house, which shows the residence of the kidnapper (the fourth from the seventh) and reinforces that this child was killed indoors, in the abductors home. All the planets in Capricorn indicate he intended to buy her but was thwarted somehow by something sudden (Uranus) such as being come upon while doing it. He had to leave her as she was. He may have wanted to go back but did not because she was discovered quickly.
The message on the barn door fits this scenario. He lived and worked in and on the farms. He may or may not have been Amish.
Venus left the last few degrees of Taurus, where it was conjoined the Pleaides, and moved into Gemini when she was found. Venus was disposed of by Mercury, which was leaving the sign Pisces at the time, showing immediate change. So the child was uncovered.
The man in question would be described best by the planet ruling the seventh at the time of the murder. This is Mars in Capricorn. Physical characteristics would include a lean, muscular body which was acquired through physical labor. Overall small body size with a small head. Sharp features and stringy dark hair. Light eyes, light skin and possible freckles. Red hair is common with Capricorn. These are characteristics dependant upon profiling that began many years ago and may be altered by modern characteristics. For instance, this could be a dark skinned man with colored red hair or red in his hair. Other modifications may or may not apply.
The Death About a year ago, some residents at the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles complained about the water quality. Sent to inspect the cause of the blackened and odd tasting water, a maintenance worker made a grisly discovery: the decomposing body of Elisa Lam in one of the roof’s water tanks. For about 19 days, residents at the Cecil Hotel bathed, drank, and brushed their teeth with corpse contaminated water. Even weirder, the hotel remained open and guests continued to check in and out as firefighters removed Lam’s body.
Lam was a 21-year-old college student visiting LA from Canada. An autopsy showed that there were no drugs or alcohol in her system and Lam’s death was subsequently ruled “‘accidental due to drowning, other significant conditions: bipolar disorder.'”
Many questions have been raised following Lam’s “accidental” death. How did she get to the roof without setting off alarms? How did she open the supposedly locked roof door? How did she manage to close the lid of the water tank from the inside? If she truly was having a psychotic episode, how did she get to the roof undetected?
Maybe it really was unfortunate circumstance. The alarms might not have been set (or malfunctioned). The door might have been left unlocked. In a frantic state, Lam might have figured out how to close the water tank lid (people have done stranger things with high amounts of adrenaline coursing through their veins). Maybe no one was around to see her.
Of course, my attempts to explain away the mystery might not satisfy everyone. I’ve seen some speculation that the murder was a “Twin Peaksesque twist [and] that her death was caused by the supernatural.” Others give the more practical explanation that a hotel worker was involved.
What happened to Elisa Lam? I’d read about her drowning on top of the Cecil Hotel in a water cistern. Some had speculated it was a suicide as a result of drug use. As there had just been a shootout in Orange County earlier in the week, I have to admit, her death slipped out of my mind. It was only after a few friends mentioned it to me that I read more about the suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. The cisterns where she was found weren’t easily accessible, and while they were unlocked, an alarm and a locked door would have to be passed for her to have gone upstairs.
To make the situation even stranger, the last recorded footage of her alive is viewable on YouTube. It’s from an elevator camera and is as inscrutable as the cause of her death. She enters the elevator and presses all the buttons. She peeks closely at what she’s pressed, seems confused why the door isn’t closing. Then she appears to hide alongside of the wall, moves to the corner, then peeks furtively out. She gets back in, pushes all the buttons again, confused as to why it isn’t moving. Her most inexplicable behavior happens when she starts flailing her arms, and it almost looks like she is arguing with someone or signaling something, though her finger gestures also imply an unusual state. One question that kept on coming back to me was, why wasn’t the elevator door closing? Why only after she left did it close?
Some have speculated in an almost Twin Peaksesque twist that her death was caused by the supernatural. Others say this indicates someone who worked at the hotel had to be involved. Honestly, the footage caused me shivers. Part of it was the silence, not knowing what she was doing. Another part of it was realizing these were the last known movements of this girl who was going to get killed shortly afterwards. It also occurred to me that it was possible she was extremely nervous and was hiding from someone. Speculation on the Internet has been rampant, and several Chinese on chinasmack.com (which translates Chinese reactions over the net into English) have suggested it could have been her flirtatiously playing hide-and-seek with a lover, or that she was in fear for her life as she tried to escape.

It is hard to find any article on this woman's death without the banter about the video of her in the elevator and the fact that she was found in the water tanks. No articles are left anywhere that just describe her first missing and when and when she was last seen; everybody is busy trying to figure out what happened here. You can see the video on YouTube and about a thousand other websites; it is literally viral. Her death is a literal mystery with much conjecture about supernatural forces and whatnot. The police ruled her death an accident but, as everybody is pointing out, that is hard to believe. How did she end up on the roof in the water supply? There are a lot of locked doors before you get there and she was just a visitor at the hotel and did not work there. Many people think a hotel worker was involved but if this is possible, why is no one investigating this? Why is it just passed over? I think part of the reason is that she was Chinese from Canada and not American. She was just a "nobody". It's exactly this kind of case why I got interested in offering this blog, hoping to use Astrology to look into cases from a distance and possibly find clues. If nothing else, I can poke the monkey and maybe spark interest in reopening cases like this one and giving these victims some real consideration.
I don't think this was supernatural, as tempting as that drama might be. I also do not think she went up there and got into the water tanks, regardless of bi polar disorder. I have known lots of people with bi polar disorder and the depression they suffer is really deep, so that many of them do consider suicide. But I do not believe they get this creative just because they are bi polar; jumping off a roof or hanging oneself is easier and quicker than making ones way to the water supply, something, in fact, few visitors to hotels even think about, much less know where it is. I just don't believe she got there on her own, had some sort of weird accident, was kidnapped by ghosts or demons or was on drugs. The elevator video looks to me that she is playing around with someone, perhaps someone she is hiding from, trying to attract, spy on or just play around with. We never get to see the other person but I strongly believe there was somebody else there. Down the hall or in the doorway of a neighboring room, perhaps. And even though there were many deaths in the hotel and serial killers stayed there from time to time, this is true of many hotels and residences. This death is one of the strangest I've ever heard of and that makes it impossible for me to ignore. I just have to see what the charts tell me.
One problem I have is no time line. She was last seen on January 31st, in the hotel by witnesses. She was due to check out on February 1st and never did but then this video of her surfaced and this is where she was actually last seen on the date she was supposed to check out. Here is a generalized time line of her activities:
Jan. 26: Traveled to California Jan. 31: Last seen at The Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles Feb. 1: Lam is recorded acting strangely in hotel elevator Feb. 1: Lam was due to check out of hotel, but never surfaced Feb. 6: LAPD hold press conference about disappearance, family attends Feb. 19: Body found on hotel roof in a water tank
By the time they found her, she had been missing for two weeks. I do not believe they know exactly when she ended up in the water supply. Everybody keeps saying that she died shortly after she was in the elevator and this is based on the known fact that she never checked out on that date. So she died at some point on that same date... or she was kept from checking out for some reason and maybe held or trapped for an unknown period of time before she was dropped in the tank. It is my starting argument that she was dead when she was dropped in the water tank and no one knows for how long. So this is my problem with the timeline. This leaves me with no other recourse than to start running charts early in February and then keep going until something makes sense. Let's hope it gives us some idea of what happened.
Looking on Booking.com and TripAdvisor, I find the check out time at the Cecil Hotel is anytime before noon. But after much searching, I found a website that documented the actual timestamp on the video and gave 2 pm as the time when she was seen making hand gestures. You can see this page here: CAFEMOM .. Anyways, I will work with this and see what I can discover.
I want to point out a few things right off. Now, this documented time for 2 pm is already two hours after her scheduled check out time. So she was already planning to stay longer? Or was she detained by someone else, perhaps the same person she is seen gesturing to in the video? Almost everything about this case is a mystery that raises more questions and nothing provides any answers. It is beyond fascinating.
Looking at this chart, you can see that the first house cusp is changing from Gemini to Cancer. The changing of the Ascendant and it's ruler is a marker for imminent change. So there is no doubt that her circumstances were already in flux. Cancer on the first makes the Moon her ruler in the chart, as it is always the co ruler of any chart and in this one the first house ruler as well. It is positioned in the fifth house and the fifth house is a common marker for hotels, restaurants, bars and dance halls. The Moon is in Libra and is disposed of by Venus in the eighth. The eighth house rules sex and death; the fifth house also commonly rules romance and sex; romantic opportunities especially (as those you find in hotels, bars and dance halls). Saturn rules the seventh house and is a marker for anyone else who might have been in her company. Since it seems as if she is gesturing someone, hiding from someone, maybe even playing around with someone, this idea of another person looms large for me. Saturn is also in the fifth house of hotels and lodges as well as romance and sex. Was this other person an unnamed lover? Someone she was flirting with? Or actually having sex with? With these markers, this is possible. There is also no doubt that both this girl and this other person were in the hotel at the same time.I do not like Pluto in the seventh, it is a marker for chaos, disruption and violence and plays a role in rape and sexual assault. There is no aspect between the Moon and Saturn so there is no definitive descriptor of their relationship so it may be that they had only recently met each other. The node in the fifth, near to Saturn, indicates planning in advance. So was someone plotting and scheming in this instance? Was their meeting that morning something planned or, at the least, wished for?
Other factors I must note is that the fourth house ruler is Mercury, which is a strong marker for temporary housing and short term residences, which includes hotels. Mercury is in the ninth house and the ninth house is a descriptor for foreign places, foreigners, tourists, travelers, exchange students, etc... and we know this girl was Chinese from Canada and was a tourist in LA. This much in the charts dovetails with the known facts, which helps us determine that the charts are viable.
Most of the blog posts I read said that this video was taken only minutes before she was killed. I do not know how they know this; the police have been unable to say exactly when she ended up in the tank nor how long she had been there. Just because she had not been seen since does not prove that she was killed right away. Running the charts for 4 pm on the same day, the charts are telling us something else:
In this chart you see the first house ruler, still the Moon, is in the fourth house along with the seventh house ruler, which is still Saturn. This is her and her friend in the residence, most likely his room in the hotel. The Moon is disposed of by Venus, which is now at the seventh house cusp, and this shows Elisa in the company of someone else (the seventh house always depicts the "other person" in any instance). The seventh house ruler, in turn, is disposed of by Mars in the eighth house of sex and by Pluto in the sixth house. This placement leads me to believe that this person she is with is interested in sex with her. This person may well have worked at the hotel (Pluto in the sixth), possibly in maintenance or construction. The sign Capricorn is an earth sign that has an affinity for wood so perhaps this person was a carpenter or worked on the wood finishes in some manner.
The Moon, which marks our victim, is disposed of by Venus in Capricorn, which in turn is disposed of by Saturn, which describes her "partner". This type of complimentary loop often indicates that the two of them came together because of mutual desire. It would seem that she was there because of him (or her) and had not been forced or coerced. Since Saturn co rules Aquarius we might also note that Mars and Saturn are in mutual reception. This adds aggression to the personality as well as discipline and determination. This person she was with was strong and determined and could be hard to resist. Mars is getting ready to change signs, to move into Pisces, so watch what happens with the rest of the chart (most especially the angles) when this occurs.
The node in the sign Scorpio in the fifth house and disposed of by Mars in the eighth, there is no doubt that sex played in role in this event. And the chart for 6 pm, makes it perfectly clear. From here on in, I will describe her friend as a male, assuming she was heterosexual and that no other claim was made about her sexuality.
Here, you can see the seventh house ruler is Uranus, so expect something unexpected from her "friend". As Uranus is in the eighth house, this person is either a criminal or capable of lawless behavior. Sun is now ruling the first house cusp and it has moved into the sixth. This placement, the first house ruler in the sixth, is a known descriptor for disappearance; in charts where someone has run away and you see this placement, you must conclude that the person will never be seen again. In this instance, it is saying she will never been seen again, at least not alive. The Sun here is disposed of by the seventh house ruler, Uranus, so you can be sure she is doing his bidding and that he has plans for her. She is with him because she wants to be with him and now he is in complete control. She may have been so enamored of him that she had been coerced into doing something illegal (such as using drugs) in order to go along; although the tox screen did come up clean. Uranus in the eighth is, in turn, disposed of by Mars, in the seventh house, and this certainly looks like an assault, an attack, a situation that has turned to force. He is attempting to do something illegal by force and since Pluto is in the fifth house as well, I would say that he raped this girl. At the very least, he assaulted her.
So we know that she was still alive and in the company of an unknown person at 6 pm that evening. So she did not die "within minutes" of the video.
Another point I wish to make is about her bipolar disorder. First of all, this is not a reason for her to have an accident or to end up in a locked tank. This is not a magical condition that allows you to do magical things nor does it predispose to an accident. The police must have learned about her condition from her parents, which would mean she had been diagnosed and probably was being medicated. When they are on their medication, bi polar people are just like the rest of us. If she fell off her medication, this may explain some of the components here. For instance, they tend to get "high" on delusional ideas for sure and perhaps her infatuation was a bit extreme due to mania. She may have been convinced that she had found her soul mate or that she "belonged" with this person, which is a common misconception among people with delusional disorders. She may have made bad choices because of mania and ended up with a dangerous individual. She may have been convinced to use drugs as well, especially since mania makes bi polar sufferers feel invincible (but, again, I must note that the tox screen came up clean). She may have been likely to do all sorts of things she would not ordinarily do. Now, I realize the argument has been for depression but, for one thing, she does not look depressed in the video and it is unlikely she would have left her room to begin with if she were severely depressed. I do not believe this was suicide, no matter how conveniant that explanation seems, mostly because she got through several locked doors and ended up in a tiny. locked tank. Who on earth could believe this was an accident?
Please notice Jupiter in Gemini in the tenth. Now, Jupiter does not rule any angles nor does it dispose of any angular planets but it's placement in the tenth must be studied. It is disposed of by Mercury, which is angular at the descendant, and is key in describing this "other person" Elisa was with. Gemini implies two people. Mercury at the seventh describes somebody young, such as an older teen or young adult perhaps. Mercury stands alone and is not connected to the other planets in the seventh so I believe this is one or two people, young people, who live and/or work at this hotel. The other planets in this house are Neptune, which rules the eighth house and Mars, which rules the fourth. Mars is telling us they are still in the hotel in a room. A room where somebody lives. Neptune, the ruler of the eighth, is telling us that either sex or death was a part of the purpose in this event. Sex has been mentioned by the charts more than several times now, so it was likely a sexual attraction that brought Elisa to this room with this person. Pluto co rules the fourth from the fifth, another marker for sex. With Pluto, it could easily be forced sex or sexual assault. I am getting more and more convinced that Elisa was raped and possibly by more than one person. I am just wondering if they even checked her for this since they seem to have assumed she climbed in there on her own. But, to excuse this apparent misstep on their part somewhat I must admit that water tends to wash away body fluids and makes it hard to prove that flesh is damaged. Immersion in the tank might have made a rape kit useless.
Now, to save time I will resist running a ton of charts past you as I look for the next big moment in this event. The charts I run for the remainder of this night are reflecting small events, such as eating, drinking or sleeping and are boring and unproductive. But running the charts forward, I find that she is still alive and in this same room days later. There are placements in the charts along the way that reflect captivity or restraint. It is possible, if he lives in the motel and does not require maid service, that she was kept in this room for quite some time. Her body was not recovered until the 19th. The next best prospect, under these conditions, is to run a chart for the time of her discovery and see what it reveals.
I ran charts for the day they found her and discovered that, at around 3:30 pm, the planets are lined up to describe what we know to be true. Here the tenth house ruler, Mars, is in the eighth. The tenth house describes authority, such as the police or even hotel management, and the eighth house shows us death. The first house ruler, Elisa's marker, is here in the eighth along with Mars, in the water sign Pisces and all disposed of by Neptune, also in the eighth and in Pisces. Neptune is in dignity so it is the strongest marker here and it is known to describe "hidden things". Pisces describes the water in the tank and Neptune shows her submerged and hidden there. Saturn, which always describes dead bodies in death cases, is in the water sign Scorpio in the fourth. She is definitely still at the hotel (the fourth) and hidden in water (Scorpio). DARK water as was described many times in this case and Scorpio always describes DARK places and places that are hard to navigate or where darkness hides things. So this chart is reflecting what we already know; she was discovered in the water tank, dead, on February 19.
Now I cannot help but be curious about when she was put there, knowing that the charts have been telling us she was in the room for weeks. So I run charts backward to see when the first house ruler enters the eighth and then when it enters the sign Pisces. This is the chart I discovered:
In this chart, at this time, the first house ruler is Cancer and the Moon has just entered the sign Pisces at 1 degree. This is when she was dropped into that tank; maybe not the exact moment but within this time frame. The Moon is closely adjoined to Neptune, reflecting the need to hide her. The seventh house shows us the person who put her there and this is ruled by Saturn. Saturn is still in Scorpio and in the fourth house. Again, he lives at the motel and he wanted her for sex and then he needed to hide her (Neptune and the sign Scorpio both reflect secrets). The node is in the fourth, having just passed over Saturn, telling us that he planned this in the recent past and had already chosen the hiding place. Something he does at the hotel allows him access to the water tanks. He may well have been among those that "discovered" her. So I think I would be willing to say that she was already in the tank by Feb 10. Which means she actually died within that 10 day period. So I am going to run charts for that period and see if I can find the time of death. From that, we might be able to determine both how she died and who killed her.
I did occur to me that they probably killed her either early on the 10th or in the days preceding that date. I believe she has already been placed in the tank on that day (or within the 24 hour period prior to this event, mainly because I can't imagine them keeping a dead body around for a long time). So I started with the 9th of February and hit on the first death pattern right away. It is present at 3 pm on February 9th and I cannot duplicate it at any other time on any other day. The pattern actually started at 2 pm on that day and then continues until 3 pm and then disappears.
Looking at this chart, you can see what I am referring to. Cancer rules the first house cusp and is Elisa's marker. Here it is in the eighth house of death. It is under the Sun's beams, which is a marker for danger and for misfortune. The twelfth house ruler, Mercury, is in the eighth house as well and Saturn, the marker for the dead body of the victim, is in the fourth house, showing her body to have expired in that room. Saturn also, curiously, marks the "other person" in this event. I am not sure what that means outside of a "togetherness". I won't comment on that. The tenth house ruler, Mars, is also in the eighth. All of these placements indicate death and the presence of a dead body. I must also note the mutual reception between Pluto and Saturn, which has several meanings. One, that the dead body died by violence. But another is hate. Pluto and Saturn disposing of each other can often mean murder for hate, or, in other words, a hate crime. She may have been targeted because she was Chinese.
This pattern stays in place during the same trending time for the next 24 hours or so. And then the charts show the dumping in the tank event. So she was killed around the 9th and then dumped on the 10th. So she was in the tank for 9 days before she was discovered. She could have ended up in there for months if no one had complained about the water. And just because she had "bi polar disorder" and was Chinese and not American, her death was chalked up to suicide and dismissed, even though the known facts just don't support that theory. Whether or not you believe in Astrology, you must admit that not much attention was given to the death of this girl.
The last chart I was to study is the one drawn for the day before she was discovered. I want to show you something.
Notice that Uranus rules the seventh house. Notice that Uranus is in the ninth house, showing someone who may be foreign or from another country. And then Uranus is disposed of by Mars, which rules the tenth house and Mars is in the eighth. The person who killed Elisa and knew she was dead and in that tank was among those who "discovered" her. I thought this might be the case when I saw the first charts I studied but I could not reveal it until I had more clues. But now it is obvious to me. He worked at the hotel, lived or used rooms at the hotel, raped and abused women at the hotel and was among those who discovered this girls body. He may have never killed a girl there before or if he had he may have taken them elsewhere. But the rooftop tanks, behind locked doors, were safe and hidden and if he had access to them, easy for him to take advantage of. This man is the person who kidnapped her, held her, raped her and killed her and then dumped her in the tank, only to "discover" her later.
How can we tell more about him? Perhaps find more clues as to who he is and how he can be brought to justice? First of all, I seriously doubt that he will ever be caught for this or punished. I do not think the police will ever change their story or, if they do, it will be many years from now with new people. But the charts say he works there and lives there and has access to the tanks. This should narrow it down to some degree, if anyone were to care. And the markers are there to describe him in other ways as well. Using the chart I drew for her actual time of death, I can draw some details from the seventh house. Saturn in the fourth describes someone who lives at the hotel, which we already know. Saturn in Scorpio describes someone older with dark features. This person is secretive, quiet, apparently shy and reclusive. He is not friendly with others at the hotel and spends a lot of time alone. Saturn is trine both Mercury and Mars so he has said little to others that would raise suspicion, is very careful in his words and actions and has not ever drawn fire or anger from others at the hotel. He will avoid confrontations at all costs. He gets along with everyone on a superficial level but no one knows anything about him. He does not incur their curiosity, either. He stays to himself.
He is probably thin and small in overall size. Dark features, closed up features, does not smile much. Does his job, doesn't forget or shirk responsibility but prefers to work alone and has gone out of his way to get other people out of his job. This should give people some information helpful to singling him out. I very much doubt anyone is looking to do this at this point but attention should be given to other women who either may go missing or may end up dead. The Saturn and Pluto connection here gives a tendency towards violence and Mars in Pisces trine to Saturn as well can point to perversities and exotic desires.
Cindy Lee Mellin, a sales clerk at Broadway Department Store in the Buenaventura Shopping Center, had just finished her closing shift on the night of January 20, 1970.
She was last seen standing next to her car in the shopping center parking lot with an unidentified white male changing her tire. The man drove a light colored vehicle.
At approximately 10:30pm, two of Mellin's co-workers, who had been picked up by their husbands, drove by Mellin's car and noticed the unidentified man jacking up her vehicle.
After having coffee at a nearby restaurant, they drove by her car again, but no one was there. Having assumed the man was Cindy's father, the co-workers thought nothing of it and left. They would later describe the unidentified man as tall and slim, between 30-40 years old.
At 4:45am, Mellin's father, Leonard Mellin, woke up and saw that his daughter's car was not in the driveway. He then rushed to her room and noticed she never came home the night before.
Her father then went to the shopping center to look for her and found her car still up on the bumper jack with the flat tire still attached. The spare tire was lying on the ground nearby. The doors, trunk and glove compartment were open.
Leonard Mellin, Cindy's father, observed that the flat tire appeared to have been deliberately punctured with a knife, which left a large slit on one side.
There was no sign of Mellin at the scene and she has never been heard from again.
She was last seen wearing a navy blue dress with red buttons, a brown corduroy three-quarter length coat, blue shoes with gold buckles, a gold ring set with a single pearl and a red hair ribbon.
She is missing under suspicious circumstances and her case remains unsolved. Both her parents have since passed away.

Another cold case from the 1970s. It seems like the 70s was a dangerous decade with so many serial killers and so many unsolved cases. It was a "swinging" time as I remember with Womens liberation making women more brave and open. Hitchhiking was also popular, as if nothing bad could happen to you when you got into a strangers car. It was also a far more innocent time than today because we did not have the news coverage, the media interest and the internet. Today, I hear about a murder a minute it seems. But not so many of them go unsolved I must add. Anyways, I have several of these cold cases that I will be analyzing here on the blog this month. In this particular case, we know Cindy was last seen with a man at 10:30 pm on the side of the road. Let's see what the charts have to say about what happened to Cindy Lee Mellin.
The preeminent marker in this chart is no doubt the Moon. It is always the co ruler of any forensic chart but here it rules the midheaven (10th house cusp), is angular in the tenth house and disposes of itself (in dignity). Because of these aspects, the Moon is a powerful indicator in this chart. It is in the tenth house and this shows us Cindy out in the open, in public, where she could be seen by others. We know this much is true because reports have witnesses spotting her at that time. She is standing along a highway. We know that she had something happen to her car, reportedly a blown out tire, and we can see that the last aspect the Moon left is an opposition to Mercury, which rules travel and vehicles. Mercury, in turn, rules the ninth house and this tells us it happened on a highway. Now, we know she is with a man who is supposedly helping her. We see that the seventh house ruler is Mars in Pisces and it is in the sixth house. This is the house of service so we would think he was doing her a service. But notice that Mars is disposed of by Neptune, which is in the second house. He may have done this sort of thing for a living and was hoping to get paid for changing her tire? Is everyone sure she did not call a service station and had this person come out? Perhaps she did but none the less the tire was never fixed because it was discovered, still up on jacks still with a flat tire hours after she was reported missing.
Other planets in this chart give us more to the story. The first house ruler, her marker, is in the fourth house. We know she is not at home but this indicator can mean she is close to home or, at the least, in her own neighborhood. Mercury is there with Venus and since she is not with children, indeed, did not have children, then we can assume that Mercury is showing us her vehicle. She is with her vehicle. This fits with the known facts. Notice that Venus is right close to the Sun, what is called "under the sun's beams" and take note that traditional readings will say that Cindy is in danger. I have seen forensic charts with the markers under the Sun's beams and nothing untoward happened... but I have also seen those where it appeared and violence was the result. This is one marker you should consider but not take for granted. So it may mean she is in danger.
Another marker that stands out for me is Uranus right at the first house cusp. This is a stronger influence over Cindy than the placement of Venus. It has the quality of creating surprise events, things that just come out of the blue. Uranus is in Libra and disposed of by Venus so it is a strong influence over this event. It indicates that something untoward occurred and it seemed to revolve around the girl. There is a good chance she did something out of character and it cost her.
Going back to the man who helped her. The seventh house ruler, Mars, is in the second house, as I already pointed out. It makes me think he expected something in return for the fixing of her tire. Of course, we know that he did not fix the tire but somehow she had gotten into his car and left with him. This is what we suspect at this point. The next few charts will tell us if that is true. We know she was headed home and wasn't far from home, by the placement of her marker in the fourth. The Moon in the tenth also tells us that she had no plans other than what she was known to be doing.. fixing the tire and heading home. But Uranus also tells us that lightning struck somehow and the whole picture changed... drastically.
An hour later, the next chart shows, the Moon is now in the ninth house. Not only is she still on a highway but she is now in someone else's car. This bears out our suspicions and shows us what happened at that point. Since Mars has not changed position, I would assume this was the same man who was supposedly helping her with the tire. Another configuration arises in this chart and supports the theory from the previous chart. The man's marker is disposed of by Neptune in Pisces in the second house. This is the position that made me think he expected something. Well, notice here that Neptune is disposed of by Jupiter, which is fast approaching the first house cusp. Jupiter is disposed of by Mars, which is his marker. So his purpose, again, seems to be to get "paid" in some manner for helping her. Jupiter in the first, disposed of by Mars, shows this man commandeering this girl. He has taken charge. Venus is conjunct the Sun now within a few minutes of exact. And both Venus and the Sun are disposed of by wayward Uranus now in the twelfth house. Uranus and Venus, in fact, are now in mutual reception. This clearly shows this man snatching her, by surprise, shocking her and forcing her into his car. Jupiter is also disposed of by Pluto which is in the sign Virgo and disposed of by Mercury (the car). She is in his vehicle, clearly, and not because she wants to be. So we now know that Cindy was kidnapped.
The next few charts, I fear, are not going to be pretty. In these cases, they hardly ever are. I am waiting for the Moon to move into the eighth house, which should happen in an hour or so. Also, Pluto opposes Mars from the twelfth house. This precursors violence coming and when it enters the eleventh house, this could mean a sexual assault. Perhaps this is the means by which he intends to collect? He never did fix her tire, but what does that matter? His true intentions were to kidnap her and have his way with her.
And here it is. Right in this chart. Mars has moved into the fifth and Pluto, opposite Mars, is in the eleventh. There is quite a struggle going on with this assault. He rapes her but not without a fight. I see the sexual assault this way- Jupiter is rising at the first house cusp and from there controlling events. Jupiter is disposed of by Mars and Pluto, which make up the sexual dynamics from the fifth and eleventh houses. Notice that Venus now rules the seventh house and Mars is on the first? With that change, Venus moves into the third house. There is good chance he assaulted her in his vehicle. Saturn in Taurus (ruler of the third), Venus in Aquarius (placed in the third and ruling the seventh) and Moon in Cancer (ruling the ninth and placed in the ninth) tell us about his vehicle. These are feminine planets with double emphasis on Venus and the Moon. So this is not a truck, a work vehicle, like Mars would indicate but most likely a large luxury vehicle. Taurus indicates luxury and Saturn would indicate an older vehicle. I am thinking possibly a light blue or silver color. Venus and Aquarius point to a light blue while the Moon may indicate silver. So it is likely this man was driving a light blue or silver older luxury vehicle. I wish witnesses were more clear on what other car was there at that time. I mean, something other than a "light colored vehicle". The charts bear that out but it would be nice to know if it was a Cadillac or a Lincoln.
Another point I'd like to make is that there is no aspect between the first and seventh house rulers. This means she did not know this person; it was a complete stranger. The Moon, as well, does not make or receive any aspects during this period; the closest aspect is a sextile / trine to the Mars - Pluto opposition but this is over 10 degrees away and will not finalize during our analysis. The Moon has also just passed an opposition with Mercury in Capricorn and is now dexter by 4 degrees.
I am still running charts to see if I can find the death pattern and if there was a death, where the body might be. The Moon does reach the eighth house in the 2 am chart. But I am not seeing supporting placements. So I move on to the 3 am chart and there I find more supporting placements. The Moon is still in the eighth and it also rules the eighth; the fourth house ruler has moved into the twelfth; the twelfth house ruler is in the fourth. This is a death pattern. From the moment of death in the chart Saturn rules the body. Saturn is in Taurus and in the fifth house. It is opposite the first house ruler, Jupiter in the eleventh house. She died during sex and he probably strangled or suffocated her (Saturn in Taurus; Taurus rules the throat). Her ruler is in the eleventh, showing the sexual connection but his (Mercury) is now in the second. This money thing has been consistent throughout this chart and leaves me wondering if he didn't want money from her, had planned to rob her, considered sex a payment for some thing or other along these lines. I see money often in charts where women are stolen for porn or slavery. But this just looks like a kidnapping, assault and murder. However, Neptune is known to represent film and movie making so perhaps this was a snuff film. These rape and murder movies were popular in the 1970s. But at the time of death, as shown in these charts, I do not see aspects pointing at cameras, film making or movies.
We have a pretty good description of this man, given by eyewitnesses so I am not going to try to read traditional descriptors. I am not that good at it and the descriptors are too narrow anyways. But I might be able to tell where he may have taken her body. In the chart for 4 am, you can see that the seventh house ruler is now Mercury in Capricorn and this is in the first house. Also, Saturn is disposed of by Saturn in Taurus, which describes her body, in the fifth house (cusping the fourth). This is a strong indicator that he killed her during sex when you consider his marker in her first house, where it seems he was right in front of her, on top of her, somehow in her face and at the same time Saturn in the fifth shows a sexual act. Saturn as the ruler of the body shows us that she was most likely smothered or strangled (Saturn in Taurus) most likely with his hands (Mercury in Capricorn). These are earth signs so might we think she was buried somewhere? Maybe but you have to note that Saturn in Taurus is disposed of by Venus in Aquarius. Aquarius is a fixed air sign and often describes Uranian things like airports, radio towers, tv stations, runways, air planes or other flying objects, electronics and electrical fixtures. As an air sign, it often describes things that are up in the air but the fixed nature of the sign brings things closer to the earth. Libra and Gemini often describe high places such as mountains or tall trees but Aquarius would more commonly describe hills and places with an uneven skyline, such as rugged areas with steppes or buttes. The secondary rulership of Aquarius by Saturn brings Venus together with Saturn as Saturn is in Taurus and is disposed of by Venus. So the area where she is buried is most likely attractive in landscaping with flowers and colorful blooms (Venus), standing water like retention ponds or man made fountains (the water bearer, Aquarius). The area would be small in size (Taurus) and would be inhabited by slow crawling land creatures like turtles, snails, armadillo, porcupine (earth signs). The area may well have access to a lovely little park or memorial. Her body would be buried but in somewhat muddy ground, or ground that gets wet and muddy some of the year and may be dry and dusty other times of the year. Saturn gives age and weathering so the area may have been just as it is for many many years. There would be no new construction or other development there, at least not at the time in question. Aquarius has affinity for ground that has been disturbed so there may have been recent plantings or digging going on, but on a small scale. The fixed signs would indicate that this area has lots of rocks and stones (especially with Capricorn) and is somewhat rugged. Again, there had been no major fixes or upgrades done to the park, or the memorial, or the area in general.
This man who took her is described by Mars in Pisces. We have a pretty good description already from eyewitnesses who saw him with Cindy on the side of the road. He was apparently a tall, slim white man. His clothes would be clean and his hair would be combed but his car would be full of junk and his home would be a mess. He is most likely a mechanic by trade, as shown in the first chart. He is also an artist in his spare time, he does something creative as a hobby, such as painting, music or photography. I am pretty sure he took pictures of Cindy but I cannot see anywhere in these charts where he filmed this event or used it to make money. He appears, from the general course of events, to be a man who trolls for women, offers to help them and then kidnaps them if the opportunity arises. I think the uncharacteristic thing that Cindy did was to agree to go with this man. He may have told her that he could not fix her tire and would take her to a service station. Or perhaps he offered to take her home. However it went, she went into his car with him, not without some cajoling and manipulating by him, but got in there willingly. When he began to push her around and get rough with her, it was too late. And I believe, after looking at these charts that the entire event occurred in his car. She was killed in that car and dumped. She is somewhere close to home, in an area similar to the one the charts describe, and is buried in muddy ground.
Missing 37 Years: Mary, Jessie and Fannie Stuart

ON December 10, 1977, 32 year-old Mary Elizabeth Stuart left her home at 10:00 AM in Honeydew, California with her two daughters, 2 year-old Jessie Flo and 1 year-old Fannie Fawn Stuart to run errands. Mary was headed to a television repair shop in Eureka or Fortuna, California, along with errands to the grocery store and possibly the optometrist. She was driving a red Opel Station Wagon with license plate number 456-AII, and was supposed to be home before dark. Mary and her two daughters were never seen or heard from again.
On January 19, 1978, the family's station wagon was found a few miles from their home on an old logging road.

Mary was headed to a television repair shop in Eureka or Fortuna, California, along with errands to the grocery store and possibly the optometrist. On January 19, 1978, the family's station wagon was found a few miles from their home on an old logging road. Groceries were still in the car, and upon examination it was discovered that the car's gas line had been broken. According to investigators, there was no sign of a struggle or foul play near the vehicle. The discovery of the vehicle did not give many clues as to the trio's whereabouts, but the idea of Mary leaving of her own free will with her daughters seemed even more certain then ever before.
In 1977, Mary weighed 135 pounds and was 5'5" in height. She has brown hair and blue eyes, and may possibly go by the last name of Danckert. Jessie Flo was 2 years-old when she went missing, and had blond hair and hazel eyes. She was 2'8" in height and 26 pounds in 1977. Fannie Fawn was 1 year-old when she vanished, and had red hair and hazel eyes. In 1977, she weighed 20 pounds and was 2'4" in height.
At the time of their disappearances, Mary was living in Honeydew, California with Byron McCray Stuart, who was her husband and the father of Jessie and Fannie. However, he would not be the one to report the girls and Mary missing, even though he should have noticed that they never returned home for the evening. Instead, one of Mary's friends reported that the three were nowhere to be found, and filed a missing persons report the following Tuesday. On the following Friday, 25 volunteers would comb through Windy Nipn Panther Gap, Bull Creek, Honeydew and up by Ferndale. The four-wheel drive club, mounted posse and Marine posse would also join the search that would turn up nothing. It would be a month later until the next clue, Mary's red Station Wagon, would turn up off of an old logging road close to her home.
From the start, Mary's husband, Byron Stuart, would be the prime suspect in the investigation. He had a history of violence and was described as having no problem starting fights due to his very hot temper. His failure to report his daughters and his wife missing was also a red flag. However, back in 1977, authorities did not have enough evidence to prosecute him in the presumed murders of Mary, Jessie and Fannie. Sadly, they would never get the chance to bring him to justice. In 1991, Byron was diagnosed with AIDS. In 1996, he would succumb to Hepatitis, taking with him to the grave the answers to what really happened that day to his beautiful family.
In 2009, the case was reopened, and police mentioned they believed Mary, Jessie and Fannie are deceased. Their prime suspect was still Byron Stuart. This time, they were able to interview people with information that they did not get to decades back. Despite not being able to bring Byron to justice, they believe there are other individuals who were involved with the disappearances of Mary, Jessie and Fannie. They made a plea to the public for anyone with even the smallest shred of information to come forward. Their main focus is to find the burial site, which they believe is in the Honeydew, Panther Gap or Petrolia areas. They also want to find closure for Mary's daughter from a previous marriage, who wants to know what happened to her mother and sisters that day.
This is a case that seems pretty cut and dry. Given Byron's history of violence, he seems capable of committing this crime. Byron also knew Mary's destinations for the day, so it would have not been to difficult to cut the gas line to the station wagon in the parking lot while she was grocery shopping. Also, why did he not report his wife and daughters missing when they failed to be home by that evening? Wouldn't he have been worried about them? My question is, was Mary thinking of leaving him? Did the violence and fighting escalate to the point she was fearful for her safety and that of her children? Byron did not seem like the type of guy who would be too happy about having to split his assets, not have custody of his children and possibly the responsibility to pay child support. If this was the case, it would be a great motive. Other questions I wondered about are where was he that day? Since he is the prime suspect as of 2009, it's doubtful he has a dependable alibi. If others were involved, who would have helped him commit such a horrific crime? Were his closest friends and family interviewed? Was Byron into drugs or the world of crime that drugs bring? Was he an alcoholic? If he committed this crime, there has to have been someone out there he mentioned it to. Perhaps they are too scared to come forward because they think they will get in trouble for having information all along, but it is the right thing to do!

This is one of many cold cases I found online that have few facts, if any. In fact, the media coverage on these cases was very limited in the 1970s and since they have gone stone cold, the coverage in recent years is scant. No new information on these cases because there was no DNA testing at the time and in some cases there were no witnesses. This is one case where there were no witnesses and the victims have never been found. In this case, most people believe her husband did it and got away with it. Will the charts tell the same story?
The first thing I do is check the charts for viability. For some reason unknown to me, some of them aren't. Of course, I can't even think about doing a chart without a timeline. I questioned this timeline from the very beginning because it was given by her husband, who was their prime suspect. Let's say she was dead already and he just told them this story? It has happened before, think of Susan Powell. So I ran the first chart and studied it to figure out if it was viable and the timeline was correct. I think it is and I'll tell you why. They say she had a red Opal Station Wagon, right? Well, looking at the third house ruler, it is Mars and this points to the color red. They also report that she left to do errands and brought the kids. Well, the first house ruler, Saturn, is disposed of by Mercury, showing her to be with her kids. Also, Mercury rules little things like errands, especially things like getting your appliances serviced and going to the eye doctor. And although this is not the strongest indicators I've ever seen, I went with viability and finished the analysis.
The thing about this first chart is that Mercury is in the twelfth. Also looking at the car, the red car mentioned in the report, I see that there are no planets in the third so I am not sure she is actually in it. But Mars is in the seventh, disposed of by the Sun in the eleventh and I do believe she was headed to a friends house, regardless of what she told her husband. Errands may have been for later. Noticing that Saturn and Mercury are in mutual reception, I do believe that this came to pass. Her purpose was to hide the children. She left that house with those kids to leave them with a friend. Notice that the Moon is in the eleventh house, showing us a friend. Also there is the Sun, which disposes of Mars and Mars is the marker for the car. So she drove that car to a friends house. That's how I see it. And since Mercury is in the twelfth, she was doing this to hide the kids. Perhaps she was afraid her husband would harm them. Reports claim that he was capable of that and she could have been afraid. Or this could have been her usual babysitter. Just leaving the kids so she can get her errands done.
There is no death pattern in this chart so I would assume she was still alive. Also, the fourth house ruler is in the tenth, showing her current location to be away from her home, most likely someone else's home. Moon as the ruler of this other person may indicate a family member. So the kids may have been spirited off by a family member and kept safe all these years. This would be a lovely thought. In this next chart, the planets support that theory.
An hour later the charts show us Mary on the road. At the same time, Mercury is settled in the eleventh, showing us the children in the hands of her friend. The first house ruler is now Uranus and you can see it placed in the ninth house. The ninth house can be many things and among them is a highway. Also, the woods or a wooded area. Now, we know her car was found much later on in the woods near a logging road. But we also know that if she went about running errands as she said was going to, then she would be on a highway or in a public parking lot. The ninth house is often a parking lot (or a car lot on the other hand). Notice that the Moon is in the tenth with the seventh house ruler, the Sun. The Sun and Moon are closely conjoined by less than a degree. Both planets are disposed of by Jupiter in the fifth. Did someone go with her while she shopped or did she run into someone there? The fifth house rules pleasure so she was in a public place shopping for something she wanted and this could be clothes, perfume, toys for the kids or a treat like cake or cookies. She could have been in the grocery store or it could have been a toy store. The Moon in the tenth makes a case for groceries. So it looks like she made it to the store. But it also looks like someone ran into her there and it may have been in the parking lot.
Uranus is disposed of by Pluto in the eighth. Pluto is conjoined the node, which indicates planning. She may have been shopping with a credit card, which was planned because she did not have cash (the second house is empty). But this could also be something more sinister so we need to keep our eye on this position.
The first house ruler is now Neptune and we can see it there in the ninth house. She is still on a highway, in the woods or in a parking lot. Neptune is with Venus and Venus rules both the third and eighth houses. It looks like she might already have a problem with the car. Mercury rules the seventh and it is in the eleventh, cusping into the tenth, so it looks like someone is coming to help her. The charts do not show her calling anyone but it just seems someone comes along and tries to help her. Mercury indicates this is a young person, most likely younger than Mary, but one with handy skills. Mercury is disposed of by Saturn and also in mutual reception with Saturn so this person will arrive with good intentions. The Moon, along with the first house ruler, in the ninth house does show her still in the parking lot. This is where she meets this other person, this younger person, who tries to help her. It looks like this person may have been successful. Notice that Mercury is disposed of by Saturn in the sixth house so this younger person has mechanical skills and may actually work at a job as a mechanic or someone who does mechanical work. I say this because Mercury also rules the third house, a house that describes vehicles.
I do not see her children in this chart or in any other at this point or later. Does this mean the children are safe? They were left with a friend who has hidden them since? Perhaps this friend or babysitter feared the father would get custody of the kids and hurt them in some way? It seems that everybody believed he was violent and dangerous and the idea that the children have been kept from him is not unrealistic. Anyways, the kids are not present in this chart; Mercury is describing somebody else. And then looking at the fifth house and it's ruler, we see that it is the Moon, which is often a marker for the mother. The Moon is right at the midheaven in the ninth house, showing her children to be in someone else's home. The Moon is disposed of by Jupiter in the fourth house so this other person's home is very near Mary's own home, in the same neighborhood, in fact.
Mary had a lot of good luck this day, including this young person with mechanical handy skills that helped her with the car. In fact, this person fixed it well enough for her to get back in it and drive. This is shown by the Moon in the tenth disposed of by Jupiter with Jupiter entering the third house. The Moon and Jupiter are in mutual reception so this in fact did happen and she was able to drive it away. But if you are astute and study the chart as a whole you will readily see the problem with the seventh house. The seventh house ruler is now Venus and this planet is sliding into the eighth. What does this mean? This means that the next person Mary will meet will be a violent criminal. This is supported by the presence of Pluto and the node in the seventh house. This is a violent person who lives a seedy, criminal lifestyle and has been violent in the past (the node with Pluto). The first house ruler at this time is Mars and it is in the fifth, showing us that Mary was trying to get back to her kids. She was trying to go get them or check on them.
The charts are moving swiftly in this case, it seems that sidereal time was fast at that time of year as the first house cusp changes the ruler almost every hour. This has something to do with the vernal equinox and I think everything is shorter and faster in the dark of winter. I have to keep posting more charts to show how the picture keeps changing. Every little event in this case has a bearing on the outcome.
It looks like her car has another problem at this point. You can see that the third house ruler is Mercury (showing us her car) and it is in the ninth house. In turn, it is disposed of by Saturn. To me, this looks like the car is parked again, either in another parking lot or in the woods or along a major highway. I am not sure which at this point and I am not sure it matters because the car wasn't found for over a month and for all we know the killer was using it. Mercury in Capricorn doesn't help us figure out where she parked it because Capricorn can indicate businesses and government buildings, which would point to a public parking lot but it can also rule wood and other earth materials because it is an earth sign. It is disposed of by Saturn in Virgo, another earth sign, but also a sign ruled by Mercury, which can indicate cars again. Mercury can mean another parking lot. So I just cannot tear this one apart. All I know for sure is that after the young person fixed her car, it broke down again and was parked somewhere at 2 pm.
And then here comes a brazen criminal and somehow she gets involved with him. Venus is not only in the eighth but so is the twelfth house ruler, Neptune, and the Moon, Mary's secondary marker. With Pluto in the seventh, this does not look good for Mary. But I am still not able to tell you whether this was her husband or a stranger. Her husband had a violent temper and could easily have been in trouble before, even though I have no proof of that. Also, it would be important if he had a physical job that required a degree of violence, such as being a boxer, a police officer, a soldier, a security guard, a bouncer, a bodyguard, etc.. This chart shows that some degree of violence was involved in the job her murderer had. This is shown clearly by Pluto, which disposes of the seventh house ruler in the sixth. Mars, a secondary ruler of the seventh house, is in the fourth house. This is a serious placement that indicates either that her killer lived in the same house with her (which would be her husband) or went to her home after killing her for some reason. If there wasn't a break in or other appearance of an unwanted third party, then indicators point at the husband.
Perhaps he was angry when he realized she had put the kids somewhere? I still do not see the children dead or in danger in these charts. What I believe is the husband went back home to look for the kids, as shown by Mars disposed of by the Sun while the Sun rules the fifth.
I believe he shot Mary during an argument, maybe about the kids. She had hidden them somewhere, handed them off to a friend, and he was irate. Pluto shows a level of anger that is dangerous and is a marker for violence. Pluto disposed of by Venus and Venus rules the first, it certainly looks like a violent death for Mary. I say he shot her because Mars rules him and Mars shows guns but also all the planets in the eighth house in Sagittarius while Sagittarius describes ammunition. It also shows bows and arrows but who uses a bow and arrow for killing people? Some hunters use them hunt deer but I have hardly ever heard of a murder with a bow and arrow. Because Sagittarius describes ammunition clearly and mostly bullets in any case, I am pretty sure he shot her. Mars in Leo disposed of by the Sun in Sagittarius in the eighth, I think he shot her in the chest area and probably hit her heart.
After accepting a death pattern as an indicator of death (Mars in the fourth, Venus and the Moon in the eighth, the twelfth house ruler in the eighth and the fourth house ruler in the eighth) the chart then changes. Saturn takes over rulership of the body, which is no longer alive and will eventually be nothing but bones. So we follow Saturn and try to connect it to the seventh house ruler to discover the movements of the killer with the body after death. And we want to locate that body if we can.
I realize there are a lot of fire sign markers in this chart and at first blush it seems that the body must have been burned. But I do not believe he did burn the body at all. Saturn is in the sign Virgo, disposed of by Mercury in Capricorn in the eighth house, which shows us again that the body is dead. But these are earth signs that show burial and Capricorn is a descriptor for a grave, even in traditional Astrology. At the same time, the seventh house ruler, Mars, is in the fourth house along with Saturn, which marks the body. I think he took her back home, maybe hid her for awhile and then buried her. This may be why he did not report her missing; he needed time to dig the hole. Notice that Saturn is right at the cusp of the fourth and fifth houses. This cusp shows the bedroom, the bedroom window, an area near to the back door in the backyard, or a door from the bedroom to the back yard. I believe he buried her right there on the home property, not far from the back door of the house. Nobody ever searched there from what I understand and he has since died of AIDs. Her body appears to right there, buried fairly deeply, behind the house.
Also, I still do not see the kids or a death pattern involving the kids. It would seem they were left with the friend who has since hidden them from their father. There is a good chance they are still alive and possibly living with different names and different parents.
