Police probe shooting death
By Br Ie Handgraaf Wednesday, December 29, 2010

Cries of grief echoed through a usually quiet neighborhood Wednesday morning when personnel from Hunter Odom Funeral Home pulled the body of homicide victim Tony Wilkins, 41, out of his home in South Rocky Mount.

“I need to see my father,” the victim’s only son, Tony A. Wilkins, said.

Shock was evident on friends and neighbor’s faces as they watched Rocky Mount police investigate the shooting of Wilkins. Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Cascade Avenue at 9:19 a.m. in response to a report of a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, police said they located Wilkins inside the residence and emergency personnel did what they could, but he was pronounced dead at 9:38 a.m.

Capt. Laura Fahnestock said she could not comment further on the homicide because it is an ongoing investigation. She said this is the sixth homicide in Rocky Mount for the year and arrests have been made in the other five cases.

Wilkins’ niece, Deshonda Evans, said she heard about the incident from a friend.

“I got a text message saying my uncle had been shot,” she said. “I was just shocked. He keeps to himself. I don’t know of any enemies he had.”

Evans contacted other family members, including Wilkins’ son, Tony A. Wilkins, who arrived at the scene, which was packed with emergency personnel and law enforcement. The victim’s brother-in-law, James Evans, also was watching as police investigated the incident and said he couldn’t believe what happened.

“I’ve known him about 25 years, and I’m just really shocked,” he said. “He was such a hard-working guy.”

Evans said Wilkins had lived at the apartment for 15 or 16 years with no problems in the past.

“He kept that apartment because his mom had died there,” Deshonda Evans said. “He had another house by the mall with his girlfriend.”

She said Wilkins’ girlfriend, Renee Wade, was inconsolable.

“She was devastated. She was just torn to pieces,” Deshonda Evans said. “We all are.”

As you can see, not much was published or discovered in this case. Although the victim wasn't a criminal and was actually an upstanding member of the community, his case was overlooked for many reasons. They have just never made any headway in this case as, I suppose, other, more urgent, cases came across their radar. But I realized, after studying these charts, that this case was a great teaching tool for my readers. There are many things in these charts that can give a clear perspective when it comes to a viable analysis.

The first chart I drew was for 9 am. The 911 call was made at about 9:19 and he was already dead when the cops arrived at 9:38 am. This is a tight window of time and it is an example of the kind of cases that are you will commonly come across in forensic work. Not every case is an abduction, a parent killing their child or a woman being raped and left dead in the woods. Many of the cases are simple shootings and they involve every race, sex and age group.

In this first chart for 9 am, Mr. Wilkins is still alive but you can see that other people are already in the picture. The first house ruler, the Sun, which is the victim's marker, is in the eleventh house along with Mercury, which, by the way, also rules the eleventh. This is not an angular house but the Sun is the first house ruler, so we have to analyze it. What it says is that this man was with a friend, a younger friend by Mercury. Also Mercury and the Sun are both in the sign Cancer and are disposed of by the Moon, which co rules the chart. This tells me that there was a family connection between this friend and the victim. This person may have been connected to a daughter or a brother or any other relative. That is how the victim knew this person and considered them a family friend. But you have to take notice of the seventh house ruler, which describes the victim's killer. The seventh house ruler in this instance is Uranus and it is in the eighth house. This always describes a criminal, a sleazy person who lives on the edge, outside of society. This person is living a life of crime. Here you have Uranus conjoined Jupiter, which rules the fifth house. At the same time, Neptune is angular in the seventh and is close to the Moon. The fourth house ruler, Pluto, is in the fifth. This person is involved in drugs and drug dealing, illegal items used for "partying". And Mercury, which describes this young person who is a family friend, is directly opposed the node in the fifth. This shows a plot or a scheme involving drugs. Uranus is disposed of by Mars in the second house. This shows an aggressive attempt at robbery, with the use of a weapon, most likely a gun.

Sun and Mercury disposed of by the Moon, which is conjoined Neptune, shows a ruse was used to fool the victim. The drug dealer was disguised in some manner to get him into the house. This most likely means that a story was told, a lie, actually, to make the victim trust the appearance of this person, who was an outright criminal. The north node conjoined the fourth house ruler, Pluto, is a clear sign that they wanted to enter this man's home in order to gain control over him with violence. The fourth house ruler, Pluto, is disposed of by Saturn in Virgo in the second house, so it is clear that they thought the victim had some money. Notice also that the two most prominent dispositors have connections to Mercury, which seems to indicate that this young family member led this criminal to believe that the victim had money. Perhaps he owed the drug dealer money for drugs and felt his life was in danger. This is sort of hinted at with Neptune conjoined the Moon and Mercury sitting under the Sun's beams. But another scenario seems plausible, as well. That they came there to rob the victim of his money so they could go ahead and party some more. Uranus conjoined Jupiter in the eighth makes me think they had planned to kill the victim if he resisted. That the money was that important.

TONY WILKINS 9-38 AM

So far, I am hoping that this chart is showing very clearly what various placements mean in the forensic chart. I ran the next chart for 9-38 am because that is when the police declared the victim dead. And actually nothing much changes in these charts except that Mars moves into the first house, which I have seen before in shootings. This means that he had been shot in the head (the first house rules the head). In most cases like this, with a tight window of time, the Astrologer is not going to find a lot of change in the charts. The charts, in many cases, remain static. You will have to glean almost everything from the first chart you draw. That includes describing the killer, the car he may have been driving, his or her connection to the victim and what happens to the victim in that window of time. Let's try to get as much as we can from this chart.

Notice that Mars rules the ninth house and that this is the dispositor of the seventh house ruler, Uranus. Mars is in Virgo so this describes a small, white or black vehicle. Very plain and inexpensive. Mercury is expressive, rules the hands and the written word so there may be stickers or other writings or drawings on the vehicle. The vehicle could be a van because of Mercury's association with transport and if it is a van, there would be more than two windows. Mercury also rules the eyes and is alert to the environment. Mars is disposed of by Mercury in Cancer so if it is a van there would be a lot of seats for moving family around. The van might actually be blue or green (Cancer) with white or black (Virgo) interior. It may be a bit beat up from a lot of use but it would be essentially clean.

In describing the people involved, let's start with the young person the victim considered a friend. This person has a family connection of some sort; he may even be a relative but, at the very least, he has a connection to someone in the nuclear family. Mercury describes someone younger than the victim but considering that Mr. Wilkins was 41 years old, this person could be in his (or her) thirties. This person had secrets (Neptune) that were kept from the rest of the family and no one knew the real situation. Neptune points to hidden drug use. And because both planets in the seventh house are disposed of by Uranus in the eighth, the young person was also involved in criminal activity and kept this from everyone. There was a close connection to the criminal drug dealer in question because of the subject's involved use of illegal drugs. Because Saturn is in the second house disposing of the fourth house ruler, this young person believed that older members of the family had money and that he or she had a right to take what was wanted. This person had planned to rob Mr. Wilkins for a substantial amount of money (Capricorn) to spend on partying (the fifth house). So consideration should also be given to members or friends of the family who had financial troubles.

In describing the criminal in question, the man who was brought to the home by the younger friend, you have to analyze Uranus in Aries in the eighth house. I have already stated that the seventh house ruler in the eighth house always describes a criminal, a dangerous person who does not play by the rules. We have established, through our analysis thus far, that he was a drug dealer. Aries can also describe outlaws, people in hiding, or those running from the law. It is possible there was already a warrant on this man and he was hiding from the police. Uranus in Aries in the eighth points to a history of violent crime so it is possible that this man had already been in prison. The tweflth house ruler, the Moon, is conjoined Neptune in the seventh so this was probably for drugs and drug dealing. Perhaps this person is no stranger to using guns in his "business". I am going to say now that I beleive this person was a man. I still cannot say for sure whether the younger family friend was male or female. That person could be either one. In considering the male criminal, Aries describes someone either very tall and somewhat lean or someone shorter and very muscular. There is a "masculine" air about this man, a sense that he is tough and strong and unafraid to fight. Aries describes weapons that either chop or fire. This might mean axes and it might also mean a gun. In this instance, we already know that the victim was shot. So you can mark that down in your journal as a descriptor for a shooting. Mars in the first.

People described by Uranus are often unusual or interesting looking. There is something cerebral and logical about them. They do not act or react emotionally, they tend to think things through. Planning and design is a part of their nature so their crimes are usually well thought out and planned. Considering all factors, someone described by Uranus in Aries would have striking features, a commanding personality and an unusual personal style. Uranus in Aries in the eighth house also describes someone brave and daring, unafraid of challenges or change, can be dangerous when crossed and unwilling to bend to the "rules" which they see as someone elses' idea. This man is original, aggressive and unafraid, which can make him very dangerous as a criminal bent on living outside of society.

Barbara Clemens Tedrick

\Woman Shot Down in Parking Lot

From Charmeck.com:

Case # 1997-0809-1724-00

Victim – Barbara Clemens Tedrick

Age – 59 year old W/F, DOB 12/01/37

Location – 839 Scaleybark Rd., Charlotte, NC 28209 (Overlook Apartments).

Date of homicide – August 9, 1997

Summary:

On Saturday August 9, 1997 at about 5:20PM, the victim who had just returned from the grocery store and was carrying groceries towards her home was confronted by an unknown assailant and shot. A witness observed a M/B/5’9 - 5’10” run away from the area. The victim was pronounced at the scene.

*************

This case is one of those cases that don't really get investigated, go cold quickly and get no public attention. Just an older white woman carrying some groceries home to her apartment in North Carolina. She gets shot by a total stranger for no reason at all and is left dying in the parking lot. They list the case on the pd website and then it just sort of fades away. There are so many of these, it's mind boggling. It's not high profile, it's not on TV and it won't get me many new viewers but I am going to do it in the hopes that someone might light a fire under it and get some justice for her family. The estimated time of death was 5:20 PM, as noted in the blurb I found online. So I ran a chart for 5:20 pm. And then I saw that the angular rulers were in the process of changing so I ran charts for 5:10, 5:20 and 5:30 pm.

This chart for 5:30 clearly shows the attack. First house is ruled by Capricorn with Saturn right at the nadir. Saturn is just inside the third house, showing her in the vicinity of her car and possibly in a parking area. It is also right at the cusp of the fourth house, which shows her front door. She was between her car and her front door, just as reported. Notice the seventh house ruler, the Moon in Libra in the tenth house. Mars, the fourth house ruler, is right there with the Moon, showing this person to be at Barbara's home (Mars). The tenth house also tells us that Barbara's home is where many other people live as well (it was an apartment building) and that she was outside in an open area, possibly near a highway (Moon and Mars disposed of by Venus in the ninth). It is very likely that the man who shot her lived in the same apartments. The tenth house ruler is Venus in Libra in the ninth, which describes the area to be landscaped and painted feminine colors and that many women lived in the same apartments. Venus is disposed of by Mercury in the eighth so the area was also a high crime area and was not always safe. Typical crimes were common thievery, break ins, hold ups and purse snatching (Mercury).

Neptune and Uranus in the first house also tell us something. Neptune in the first while ruling the third, says that because Barbara was in a parking lot, surrounded by cars, she could not see her assailant in advance (Neptune casts shadows). Uranus (also in the first house) describes the element of surprise. Uranus also rules the second house, so robbery may have been a motive. The Moon in Libra describes this assailant and since it is so close to Mars, this may be showing us the gun or, at the least, that this person was armed. Libra is an air sign so it describes things that fly through the air and air signs, in general, can describe sharp or fast moving weapons, among other things. Also, the Moon and Mars are both disposed of by Venus in Virgo in the ninth house with Venus conjoined the node. This could very well have been a botched car jacking. The ninth house, in general describes the parking area and Mercury on the cusp describes vehicles. Notice that Mercury is in the eighth at the time of death, so perhaps the car was the reason she was killed. It's possible.

I also note that the first house ruler, Saturn, is also the traditional marker for dead bodies or "bags of bones". This planet is right at the nadir, which is, to me, the front door of the victim's home. She was actually found dead only a few feet from her front door. Saturn is disposed of by Mars, which is in the tenth house, showing what I believe to be an attack in an open area such as a sidewalk or commons. You can see the actual apartments she lived in HERE. Although this happened many years ago and the apartments have changed names and been refurbished a bit, the architecture and landscaping is the same and the distance from the parking lot is also the same. It does not look like a high crime area but I have heard that there are break-ins there on occasion. I think her murder was unusual. There was no sign that she knew this person, the witnesses did not see anything shared between them, not even a glance, and the charts show clearly that she did not see him approach. The charts are really poor at revealing motives but I can tell what kind of person did this and maybe give some clues that would help find him.

The Moon in Libra rules the seventh house and is disposed of by Venus in Virgo in the ninth house. The ninth house shows the parking lot or area just outside of the homes. It always the outdoors but most often describes parking lots and sheds or storage buildings attached to the main domicile. In this case, I would guess it's describing the parking area. Notice how the node is right there with Venus. This actually looks like the shooter planned on shooting someone in that parking lot on that day. I am not sure if he meant it to be this woman or just anyone but the planning is there. Perhaps the plan was to steal a car and he failed in doing that after all. Keep that in mind while I analyze the rest of the aspects. The Moon in Libra is conjoined Mars so this shows this person in possession of a weapon. Mars most often describes guns. The tenth house is an open area in the outdoors, which is where the parking lot is of course. This chart shows this person in the parking lot with a gun, planning to shoot someone. The first house ruler is Saturn in Aries, showing her to be the target. This configuration raises the question of whether or not this woman was targeted and not just shot at random. The Moon is also square to Neptune, rising in the first house. And again Neptune is disposed of by Saturn in Aries, which describes our victim. Did she do something to piss this person off and he came after her? Perhaps this was not a random killing after all . Why do I say this? Well, the Moon, which describes our assailant, makes a close aspect to Neptune right before the shooting. Neptune makes a close square to Saturn, which is the marker for our victim. Neptune shows him hiding from her view; the node conjoined the dispositor shows planning in advance and the marker for our victim, Saturn in Aries, is disposed of by Mars, which is closely aligned with the marker for the killer and describes the weapon. I know this seems convoluted and complicated but sometimes the charts run around in different directions, showing us different details that come into play. It is possible this shooting was a random attempt to carjack this lady or perhaps it was a targeted killing. At this point, both possibilities exist. I think we can get a better idea of the motive (which charts are poor at revealing) by examining the seventh house ruler very closely.

The Moon in Libra describes our shooter. This is a position that puts someone into the mix with other people and there may have been a relationship dispute involving this man and this woman. The Moon is directly opposed to Saturn, showing disagreement or conflict. The tenth house ruler, Venus, in the ninth tells us that this man lived in a nearby area but one that might be said to be "over the railroad tracks". Near but not the same. Although the Moon shows us he has been in this area before, the indicators do not have him living there. I am thinking, at this point, that he knew this woman after all. There was nothing stolen, not her purse, not the groceries, no attempt to snatch her car. He just ran up and shot her and then ran off. This has all the markings of a planned murder, most especially the node. Not only is it conjoined to the tenth house ruler, Venus, but Venus disposes of the Moon, which describes our shooter. So he had planned to be in that parking lot, no question about it. With the Moon in Libra also square to Neptune in the first, he planned on sneaking up there and pulling this off by hiding himself well enough. This he obviously did because no one can given a better description of the man and he has, so far, gotten away with this. At this point, I have to ask if anyone has checked the friends list of her younger relatives. There is a possibility that this man was involved in a relationship with one of her female relatives (daughter, step daughter, daughter in law, niece, etc..) that she did not approve of. Many people disapprove of mixed marriages and perhaps Barbara had been vocal about this female relative being involved with a black man? Could this have been his motive for shooting her? If no one has looked closely at her younger female relatives and determined if there was a black man in the mix, then this could be the man who shot her. I am just saying that, in light of the reported facts (nothing stolen), the markers in this chart (Moon in Libra, Node so close to Venus, etc...) it looks to me like this woman was targeted and was known by the man who killed her. This was not, according to the charts, a random act of violence.

Another thing I feel compelled to point out is that this chart does not give a death pattern. Not every forensic chart shows one and sometimes you see other markers for murder or death. The standout marker in this chart is the opposition from the first house ruler, Saturn, to the seventh house ruler, the Moon and the Moon conjoined to Mars, showing an attack of some sort. The eighth house ruler is in the eighth, another marker for death. And Mars also ruling the fourth shows an attack at the victim's home. Other than these aspects, however, this chart does not give a clear death pattern. So keep in mind as you work with these charts that events can be described in many different ways and you have to use your intuition at times to determine exactly what they are saying.

Kara Kopetsky

Young Lady Disappears From School

From Find Kara Kopetsky :

Kara Kopetsky was a typical teenage girl. She had friends, a large loving family and was looking forward to shopping for clothes to have her Senior pictures taken, but Kara didn't get to have Senior pictures, Senior Prom, Graduation, College years or any other mile stones normal/typical teenage girls have.

On 4-28-07 Kara was abducted by her abusive boyfriend while waiting outside her place of employment for a friend to pick her up after work. She had to jump from his moving vehicle to get away from him. The boyfriend was arrested and the following Monday Kara obtained a Order of Protection against him.

On 5-4-07 Kara went missing. This was the Friday before the scheduled court date regarding her boyfriend abducting her.

The charges were dropped by the Belton Police Department, stating she was a runaway and if she knew the charges were dropped she would return home. KARA WENT MISSING ON 5-4-07, she hasn't returned home.

Friday, May 4, 2007
The morning started out just like any other morning. Kara decided to walk to school just a few blocks away instead of having her mom drive her. Later that morning, she called her mom to bring her a book for one of her classes that she had forgotten at home. Kara also asked her mom to wash her work clothes since she had to work that afternoon after school. Mom took the book up to school and left it in the office for Kara to pick up later. At some point after that Kara got the book from the office.

What happened next remains a mystery.

Kara did not come home from school that day and did not show up for work that afternoon. Her mom and stepdad called her repeatedly and called around looking for her before reporting her missing that evening.

It has been confirmed that the last phone call on her cell phone was about 10:30 that morning. Since then, the police have determined that either the cell phone has been shut off or the battery has run down. In addition to that, there has been no activity on her bank account and nothing is missing from her house. All of her clothes, belongings, and IPOD are still in her room.

The police and family have talked to her friends and no one has seen or had contact with Kara since she disappeared.

Stats: Belton, Missouri MO May 4, 2007 10:30 am LAST PHONE CALL

*********

This case was emailed to me by several readers. Because there seems to be a lot of interest currently in this case, I felt compelled to look at it. The charts were viable so I went ahead and ran them. I was immediately suspicious of the boyfriend, considering he had been abusive and had already abducted her once. She was scheduled to go to court against him on the abduction charge within a few days of her final disappearance. This is hinky. But I am sure he was the first place the cops looked and perhaps he was still in the clinker when she went missing.. but does he have friends? Someone willing to take it out on this girl? Let's see what the charts say.

First of all, let me note that this is a tough one because of the sketchy time line. She went to school, asked her mother to bring a book and there is no record of what time of day that actually was. The last cell phone call she made was at 10:30 am but that does not mean she wasn't in class after that. There is no report of whether she finished last period or was seen leaving the school. So this makes the case really hard for me. But I was willing to start with the chart for 10:30 am and see what I could find my moving charts forward. Now, as you can see, by looking at the chart for 10:30 am, that Kara was still in school. Cancer is rising, the Moon is in Sagittarius in the fifth house. In fact, this might have been around the time she was concerned about a book she left at home and this last phone call may have been the one she made to her mother. There is no note in the case details of whether or not that was the case.. or to whom that last call was made. None the less, according to the chart data, I can safely say that she was in school up until that time. The Moon, her marker, is disposed of by Jupiter in Sagittarius in the sixth house. There was nothing else on this girls' mind but school; she was busy with classes. There is also nothing in the seventh house and the seventh house ruler is Saturn, which is placed in the second. I think this is her mother, in possession of her belonging, the book.

Moving the charts forward, I see that the ascendant and placements do not change until 1:15 pm, when the Sun moves into the ninth house alone. Here she is, stepping outside of the school, perhaps to smoke a cigarette? Anyways, she is outside the school alone and look at the seventh house cusp. Aquarius is falling with Uranus conjoined Mars in the eighth house. And here, too, the node is hovering. A volatile combination and a karmic one, too. Does the node indicate planning.. or is it just a Uranian moment of chance? Neptune on the descendant shows this person to be hiding outside. Perhaps that last phone call wasn't to her mother after all, but to a person who was now at the school and this is why she stepped outside. Or there is that chance that she stepped outside, for a smoke or to use the phone, only to find a stranger hiding there, looking for a victim. Either scenario is possible. The Moon is conjoined Jupiter in Sagittarius in the fourth house so she is still on school grounds and was not planning on leaving so this was not a rendevous for her to run away. But the Moon trine Saturn in the twelfth does imply she was doing something in secret; this supports the idea that she was meeting someone outside that she was otherwise not supposed to.

Who was this person who was waiting outside? Well, he or she is defined by Uranus in Pisces. This does not mean they are a Pisces or have Uranus prominent in their chart, it is simply a delineator. This would tend to define someone who lives "outside of the box", who ignores the rules and is rebellious towards authority. This person might have a fondness for the occult or the metaphysical and could practice "magical thinking", where they believe every instance is fated and that chance works on their side. There may also be a peculiar personality, an over-adventurous nature and a desire for strange or odd experiences. Dark brown hair is likely; gray or blue eyes; pale complexion; medium height. Hobbies might include fish keeping, surfing, ice skating, snow skiing or scuba diving. Loves the water. In the event chart, Uranus conjoined Mars indicates that this person was very aggressive and forceful with Kara and may have resorted to violence. Neptune and Uranus are in mutual reception so these energies are extremely strong at this time. This person has one sole purpose: to meet with Kara and take control of her.

Discuss This Case At My Forum

Saturn is disposed of by the Sun, Kara's marker, and they are in square aspect. This indicates that Kara resisted and did not want any part of this but felt obligated. A sense of loyalty played a part. Saturn in Leo is nothing if not loyal. She would have kept this a secret (Saturn in the twelfth) because she knew it was wrong (Saturn square the Sun). And with the Sun inconjunct to the Moon-Jupiter conjunction I cannot help but think that this was big mistake for her; a miscalculation where she simply made a judgement that was false. Perhaps she trusted someone only to discover that her trust was misplaced? But I do not believe she was taken in that moment, as the chart for 1:30 pm shows Mercury entering her sphere, closely following the Sun. Since Mercury rules the eleventh house I would say that this person was another student, perhaps a mere acquaintance or maybe someone she knew as a friend? At that same moment, Neptune slips into the sixth house, losing it's power which might mean that this other student actually saw the visitor. There may be an eyewitness who saw the person who abducted Kara. Without Neptune hiding the seventh cusp, it is likely that the person was actually sighted by the interloper (Mercury) but if the child was young enough the connection might not have been made, even after Kara went missing. There is another consideration here, as well, tradition often describes Mercury as a liar or deceiver so it's possible that this student has kept the secret for a reason.

At just after 2, the ascendant changes and the event changes direction. Virgo on the first house cusp moves Mercury onto Kara's marker, which is very interesting. This basically describes a scenario where the other student has left the scene and Kara is alone with her abductor, now defined by Neptune (Pisces on the seventh). The interesting aspect in this new formation is that Mercury is both under the Sun's beams AND combust. This is very scary. Kara is suddenly in very grave danger now that the other student has left. In fact, I believe that school probably lets out sometime around 2 or 2:30 in most places so this person is now panicked and determined to get this done before he or she is caught. Neptune in the sixth describes desperation and sickness. This person could very well have a mental illness or a drug or alcohol dependancy. Mercury, Kara's marker, is sinister to a square with Neptune (her abductors marker) so she does not have good feelings towards this person, however the Moon inconjunction to her current marker, Mercury, indicates that she misjudges the situation to her detriment. She may not have liked this person but, for some reason, she either was not afraid or judged the other person as non threatening. The inconjunction clearly shows that his was a mistake. The angular T square involving an opposition from Venus in the tenth to Pluto in the fourth with the outlet being the square to Mars in the seventh, shows that the bottleneck of emotion will result in violent action on the part of the abductor. Mars square Pluto guarantees that he or she has a short temper.

It's funny how the chart for just after three shows them leaving the school in a car. I would think that would be the time when the school was finally cleared out. This person was forceful and restraining with Kara and with the Moon hiding in the fourth house during the first hour, it is possible that she was moved to a closed location like a closet. I can't be sure but the charts do seem to show her being restrained or intimidated. This would explain why she didn't scream and yell or call for help as other people were leaving the school. She was likely hidden away somewhere or in a place not easily noticed as people left the school. If there was a wooded area near the school or a play/sports area that was a distance from view, these places are likely with Mercury in Taurus in the ninth and the Moon in Sagittarius. But at 3:10 pm, you can clearly see the Moon in Sagittarius leave the fourth house and enter the third. This indicates that Kara is moving and the third house describes cars. It can also describe neighborhood roads, walking and biking but with Neptune in the sixth, I believe she was hidden and a car is the best way to do that. Mercury is dexter from conjunction with the Sun so some of the danger is alleviated but it is still under the beams and combust, pointing at fear and grave troubles.

The T square involving Venus, Mars and Pluto paints a picture of a romance tainted by jealousy, control and anger. I am really beginning to think this is her boyfriend, aren't you? I mean, who else would she scoot outside, secretly, to meet? Who else would have these sorts of desperate feelings? Who else would an onlooker dismiss? I am not saying this charts proves he is guilty but if it wasn't her boyfriend, it was someone else she knew who also had feelings for her. So, if the boyfriend has been eliminated for a concrete reason, then all other interested parties should be investigated. This person wanted her in more ways than one and he or she knew Kara before this happened. She went outside to meet this person and although she did not have good feelings, she was not afraid.

The chart for 4 pm shows there was sex involved. They are still in the car, Moon is in the third, but Mercury has moved into the eighth with Neptune in the fifth. With Mercury and Neptune square, this was either forced sex or consensual out of loyalty or concession. She may have thought that if she had sex with him (I am now sure this is a man) then this would all end. That may have been the miscalculation I saw in the course of events but I am not sure. The chart for 4:30 seems to show them parking the car in the woods. The Moon in Sag is still in the third, indicating they are in the car, but the Ascendant has changed to Libra and Venus is just now moving into the ninth house. The seventh house ruler is now Aries with Mars right at the Descendant. He has taken control of her and is bossing her around; he might even be physically intimidating. Mercury ruled her for the first few hours, showing her talking to him, perhaps trying to talk some sense into him. But now it's Venus, just after the forced sex, and she is more passive, more seductive in an effort to soften his anger but Venus and Mars are square, showing that everything she tries to do falls short of what he wants. He is getting madder by the minute. His new marker, Mars, is closely squared to Pluto, pushing his anger to violence. The Venus-Mars-Pluto T Square and bottleneck is now energized enough by the angular placements to force this aggression close to explosion. With Saturn inconjunct to Mars at this point this man is incapable of making an unemotional, reasonable decision. Everything he does from here on in is a big mistake.

The seventh house ruler, Mars in Pisces, is also conjoined Uranus so this situation is totally unpredictable and his behavior will suprise even himself. Mars implies a weapon, most often a gun, but the sign Pisces brings to mind the color silver and indicates this could also be a knife. Mars square Jupiter indicates that he thinks he is right and cannot be swayed but it also indicates that he believes she does not take him seriously. In fact, he fears she is laughing at him, that she thinks he's a joke. This is his chance to show her otherwise. Saturn inconjunct Mars also implies that history has something to do with his current anger and that he thinks he is acting seriously, in a manner that is called for. He is all about punishment. Mars in Pisces in the sixth shows his desperation and hints at mental illness.

The charts don't change much for another hour. I believe they spent time parked in the car, in the woods, where he intimidated her with a weapon and threats. He also forced her to have sex, as a sort of reassurance. She complied either because she didn't have a choice or because she thought it might defuse the situation. But Mars and Pluto working like they are in these charts, at this time, he is just at the end of his rope. No amount of neck rubbing is going to make him relax. He is really angry. And after the hour passes, the chart for 6 pm shows them getting out of the car and into the woods. The Moon is in the second, in the sign Sagittarius, so this is a small wooded area where people camp or play games or hunt and there is a body of water nearby. Small animals populate the area; squirrels, beavers, rabbits, turtles, snakes, etc.. a lot of small, land crawing creatures. The Moon indicates that the water would be a pond or a lake, large enough for fishing. Kara and her captor spent time in this area, walking or sitting in the car. Within the next hour, the Ascendant moves to Scorpio. Mars remains in the fifth house with Pluto in the second. The seventh house ruler, Venus, is in the eighth. The reason they are in the woods is sex again.

Venus in Gemini positioned in the eighth disposed of by Mercury in the seventh means he is doing all of this for their "relationship". He thinks by forcing sex she will suddenly become compliant or realize how much she loves him. Again, I am thinking this is the boyfriend... or someone else she was either involved with currently or in the past, someone who thought they belonged together. It could even be a stalker. But she knew who he was. He was not a stranger. Her markers, both Pluto and Mars, are in square configuration. This indicates that she just doesn't do the "right" things. She makes mistakes and says the wrong things. She assumes things that aren't true and she tries to assert herself at the wrong times. This to me indicates that, perhaps, this wasn't a current boyfriend, who she would have known better than this, but someone who was either in the past or was an admirer that had not gotten to first base. It just doesn't seem right that she is this clumsy with someone she knew as well as the current beau. At this time in the course of events, Pluto, her co ruler, is opposite Venus, his marker, so she is fighting him and possibly forcibly. And with Mars sinister to a square with Pluto, this was just the wrong time to do that. The way the Ascendants are trading placements, it seems like they were changing roles, too. One minute, he's the angry aggressor. Not much later, it is she who is a screaming banshee. There is no doubt they are fighting.

They remain this way for another two hours, arguing and going through the paces with each other, until 10 pm, when things really escalate. Sagittarius moves on the Ascendant and her new markers, Jupiter and the Moon, are in the first house close to Pluto. Gemini is falling and with Mercury in Taurus in the sixth, he is suddenly the weaker player; perhaps he is not paying attention? But this is when she makes her big break. The force of her rulers in the first house, with the primary ruler in dignity, and Pluto supporting them, she makes an aggressive effort to get free. Does she grab the gun? Does she open the car door and try to run? Does she just make a break for it while they sit somewhere in the woods? I can't be sure; charts are never THAT precise. But you can see the planetary energies lining up on her side and pushing her to make a move. But here are the harbingers, the omens, I am always looking for: Saturn is hinging on the eighth house cusp with the Moon moving towards the twelfth. Pluto is moving towards the first house cusp. This looks like violence leading to a death pattern. Bad news.

When you see that the Moon rules the eighth house and it's getting ready to cross the Ascendant and is, as always, the co ruler of the chart, it looks like death. This, with the twelfth house ruler, Pluto, inching it's way through the first, closing in on the Ascendant. Another death pattern. Add to this the position of Mars at the Nadir while co ruling the twelfth house and it just looks bad. Please don't think that every chart that has similar placements means somebody will die or that every death has this pattern. There are many variations of a death pattern and they depend upon the previous and future charts for support. But it is a fact that, in reading charts, if there are numerous placements and aspects that read for violence or death, especially in forensic charts where someone is missing or dead, that this can be predicted. In this chart there are many pointers to a death pattern and this is supported by various other placements such as Jupiter retrograde, Pluto in the first (regardless of which house it rules), the fourth and twelfth house rulers the same planet, both of these rulers square to the ruler of the eighth and the ruler of the twelfth the Moon, which rules the event chart in whole.

So, the charts tell us that she gets up the guts to make a break for it and a fight ensues. And he kills her in the course of that fight, either by accident or design. With Uranus so close to Mars, violence has been an unpredictable player in the events of the entire evening. The chart for 11 pm shows that he kills her sometime between 10 and 11pm. Looking at the chart for 11 pm, the death pattern I just explained to you is very clear. But when drawing up a chart for midnight, the same pattern continues. When the charts repeat and support previous aspects, the inference is that the condition is terminal.

In the chart for midnight, Capricorn is rising with Saturn in the eighth. The seventh house is occupied by Cancer with the Moon in the twelfth. The Moon is the event chart ruler, so this shows the victim and her abductor together when she dies, or after she is dead. The eighth house ruler is now the Sun, positioned in the fourth. Pluto is just inside the twelfth, right behind the Ascendant, square to the fourth house ruler, Mars in Pisces. She comes to rest in a body of water. That's what I think the chart is saying. Saturn in Leo in the eighth indicates it's in a place that gets a lot of sunlight; her body would have been quickly decomposed by exposure to sunlight or heat, which tells me she was left in shallow water near the surface. Mars in Pisces indicates that the area is frequented by sportsmen, probably hunters and fishermen. It also seems to indicate that her remains might be eaten by fish. I apologize for the graphic detail and gory images and I promise that will be the last. I just wanted to explain why it has been so hard to find her.

Going over the charts I want to see if I can trace their movements. When they left the school in the car at 3:30 pm, they went southeast. That would be southeast of the school. The next few charts a highway and then a wooded area. A highway located southeast of the school that runs past woods or forested areas is the place to start looking. Although the prominent sign is Sagittarius, the third house is also prominent, which tells me that although they went on a highway they stayed in familiar neighborhoods and ventured off onto smaller roads alogn the way. The time element of 2 and a half hours makes you think they must have traveled off to another city but the sign Gemini puts them in developed neighborhoods. So the woods are not off in an isolated area, they are accessible to the suburbs nearby. This is an area familiar to the abductor and to Kara. While the placement of Venus leads me to believe that they probably traveled a distance of about 26 miles, the sign Gemini tells me that this was on winding streets, backroads, small avenues and various outlets from the main highway and they most likely did not move farther than 12 miles southeast of where they started out. I get this from the placements of Venus and the Moon from the third and ninth houses. So when they got out of the car at 6:00 pm, they were no more than 12 miles away and this is my best educated guess. However, it is not the word of God so feel free to disagree.

The Moon conjoined Jupiter in the twelfth in the sign Sagittarius makes me think he may have used a knife as a weapon. His anger and passion was strong enough and he felt intimate enough with her to use a knife. The Moon as a shared ruler in the twelfth trine to Saturn in the eighth indicates that he spent some time with her before he disposed of the body. He lingered emotionally, perhaps crying or emoting. It also indicates that he dumped her in the water, in that lake or pond. Jupiter seems to indicate deep water and he may have originally left her in the deepest part of the lake but Saturn in Leo in the twelfth shows shallower water over time. Which seems to indicate that the body would have drifted over time and is now, later on, closer to the shore. Saturn indicates the condition of the body when it's found.

Saturn is also her marker in death so this truly is her body. Capricorn rising clinches it. Saturn disposed of by Sun in the fourth in Taurus also points to the little, confined area surrounded by woods and used by sportsmen. Small animals everywhere, an abundance of turtles, snakes and small crawling things. Again, the conjunction of the Sun to Mercury indicates that she is not buried deeply and is close to the surface. Mars in Pisces is her grave while Sun in Taurus describes the area. She is in shallow water near the shore of a small lake in an area where sportsmen frequent; small animals are everywhere, lots of turtles. The turtles feel like a clue to me; they may be a special species only found in the area or a type of turtle that is protected or endangered. They may be unusually large or exceptional in some way. The turtles stand out. They would be aquatic/land turtles who swim and live in burroughs. I know that seems crazy to mention here but they stand out in the charts so I have to mention this. It might help someone figure out where she is.

The McDonald Family Murders

Did Jeffrey McDonald Kill His Family?

From The Jeffrey McDonald Case:

The case brings out much passion and emotions in people and continues to do so even after all these many years. Some people believe he is guilty, some believe him innocent, and then there are some "on the fence," so to speak, who are not sure one way or the other.

Colette was a beautiful, blond, twenty-six-year-old woman, who wanted only to be the wife of Dr. Jeffrey MacDonald and the mother of his children and live happily forever. Their two children, Kimberley and Kristen, were both full of life. Colette was pregnant with their first son at the time of her murder.

This case starts on February 17, 1970, when the Military Police responded to a call for help in what was thought to be a domestic dispute. What they were to find would be a bloody murder scene that left them in shock and disbelief. Jeffrey MacDonald, the husband and father, was found alive and transported to the hospital for treatment. Colette, Kimberley and Kristen were transferred to the morgue.

The fact that MacDonald was left alive and with no serious injuries only adds more mystery to an already complicated case.

And so the mystery begins and has been going for years. Did a group of hippies break in and commit this vicious crime and leave him alive, or did he "lose it" for just a fraction of second and commit this crime only to invent the theory of having been attacked?

Freddy Kassab, Jeffrey MacDonald's father-in-law, was the biggest supporter of his innocence in the beginning, but over time he too became convinced that no one but his son-in-law was responsible for the murders. He was a patient man and was not going to just sit back and let MacDonald get away with it. He fought long and hard, and finally his fight came to fruition when he and his attorney, Mr. Cohen, and Peter Kearns went to Clinton, North Carolina for a meeting with Judge Algernon Butler. It was this meeting that was to lead to the grand jury investigation that brought the indictment against him, followed by the 1979 trial and his conviction of the murders of his family.

**********

I had several readers email me about this case, interested to see if the charts showed that he really did do it or that he was not guilty after all. It seemed to be a new angle to me, to look at forensic charts in this way, so I thought I'd try it. It also inspired me to start analyzing birth charts for convicted criminals and see if there was anything new to be discovered there. You may be seeing those on the blog soon enough. But today I decided to take another look at this murder and see what the stars had to say. I mean, what if he truly was innocent and there was a vicious group of murderers running around out there, free? I just couldn't resist the idea.

The time lines are tricky and the data is old; a lot of the news sites have long since dropped their articles on the case since it was solved and all over with. But one of my readers, Jennifer, did a lot of homework in advance and emailed me time lines I could work with. But it actually came down to a short window of time after all because the murders took place in a short window of time and so I hoped this might be easy to pin. But I decided to start with the chart for the time when Collette was last seen, leaving her class. This is for 9 pm on 2/16/70.

Notice right away that Aries is on the seventh house cusp with Mars in Aries also in the seventh, giving Mars tremendous power and dignity. Venus rules the first house and is placed in the fifth house, so this shows Collette having fun at her class, doing something perhaps crafty or related to a hobby she had? But please also make note that Venus is under the Sun's beams, which spells danger ahead. Venus is in Pisces disposed of by Neptune in the second and is also square to Neptune from the fifth, so perhaps her classes were costing more money than she admitted? Or was she making money from her "craft" on the side and keeping it from her husband? Moon is in the tenth house in Cancer, in dignity, showing that she was out in public among other women, perhaps also mothers.

Uranus is at the first house cusp, telling us that Collette was doing something unplanned, or on the spur of the moment. Uranus is inconjunct Venus, the first house ruler, so we can assume this was an error in judgment, something she would regret. The Moon is square Uranus from the tenth, showing again that this was an unplanned impulse that she did not share with her family and would cause problems at home later on. Mars is notably square the Moon, hinting that her husband was not happy with her and this would cause a confrontation in time. Notable other omens in this chart are Saturn in the eighth, Pluto in the twelfth and Saturn angular as the ruler of the nadir. Interestingly enough, Saturn is disposed of by Venus, the first house ruler. This is an energy loop of influence that leads me to think that the murders were aimed at the wife and the children were "collateral damage". But we'll see if this is true as the time charts are analyzed.

Looking at the charts for the next hour, one every 10 minutes, I finally see that Collette gets home around 10:45 pm. Perhaps she stopped for food or for a pack of cigarettes or something. But she walks through the door around this time. Notice that Mercury is right at the nadir, at the fourth house cusp and what does this show us? That she was met at the door by the children. Jupiter in Scorpio is sitting in the first house so she is in a good mood, still jolly after spending some down time with friends doing something she likes. Please also notice that Mars has moved into the sixth house with Saturn right at the seventh house cusp. Her husband is not happy; in fact, he is stern and joyless, as if he has spent the night in a prison. Perhaps caring for the children made him feel this way? The Moon is still approaching a square with Mars so he is angry at this wife and there is a bit of a tussle when she gets home. Just the sight of her appears to make him tense and argumentative. But this does not produce violence at this time.

In fact, the chart for 11:45, an hour later, has Scorpio rising with the Moon in the ninth and Mars in the fifth. I think Collette has settled in and is reading a book. Venus, the seventh house ruler, is in the fourth house near the Sun; this is now Jeffrey's marker and it reads danger. Neptune rules the fifth and is placed in the first, so the kids are with their mother. Venus is in Pisces, also disposed of by Neptune, showing that Jeffrey is also in their company. So the family is altogether with Collette reading a book or doing embroidery, perhaps, and Jeffrey playing with the kids. The aspects show that he is in danger now, as well, perhaps as much as Collette or even more. Saturn and Pluto have moved into the background so everything is quiet.

Discuss This Case At My Forum

Now I have already peeked at the charts so I must tell you now that this is interesting. Things are definitely interesting. I do a chart for 1 am, assuming that the family must be winding down and the kids would be in bed. I see that Aries now rules the fifth and that Mars is in the fifth house, telling me that the kids are "in their place" or that part of the house belonging to "the kids"; this sort of contradicts Jeffrey's statement that they were "in his bed". I am not sure that is true. They may have been there earlier, where the charts showed them altogether, which would mean that Collette was there when the kids were "in the bed" and the child urinated. Look at how the seventh house ruler is right now at the nadir on the third house side. Is this Jeffrey leaving the house.. or is it someone else standing outside the door? Notice Neptune at the first house cusp while it rules the fourth. This seems to be saying that there is an "unknown" person at the front door of the house. Someone just outside. Neptune is also disposed of by Jupiter in the twelfth, another indication of a somebody hiding. It's interesting that Venus plays a constant role in the charts and that it remains under the Sun's beams the entire time. This is a sure sign of serious danger. To top this off, the Moon has now entered the eighth house. The Moon and Mars are the two strongest, most powerful planets in this chart and the sinister square forming between them is a catalyst for events. And finally: Pluto in Virgo is just entering the tenth house.

Another thing I must take note of in the chart for 1 am. Venus, the seventh house ruler, is at the nadir conjoined the node. This is a sign of a planned situation, a karmic event, something "destined". Often, it marks a carefully planned or staged event done for a specific reason. It often also involves more than one person. I am thinking that the arrival of this person or persons at the front door was a part of a staged or planned event. But Venus is under the Suns' beams and tells them that this new person, if it is a new person, is in danger themselves. Almost as if the threat extends to them as well, which is curious. Pluto, co ruler of the subject (victims), is rising towards the midheaven so it must be watched, as well.

I start pulling charts for every 20 minutes as I go along, watching for the aspects to form. And they do, right away. The Moon in the eighth house is a big fat omen I can't ignore. Pluto on the angle and Saturn backing through the fifth towards the fourth. But everything starts to crystallize for me in the chart for 1:30 am. Here, Sagittarius is now rising with Gemini on the seventh cusp. Jupiter in Scorpio is square to Mercury in Aquarius, showing me an argument or face off is occurring and this appears to be an argument between McDonald and his wife. The co-ruling Moon in the eighth is still squaring Mars in the fifth, showing me that the argument involves the children. There may be noise that gets their attention. Jupiter, the first house ruler, is nearly exactly opposed to Saturn, which is just now backing into the fifth. She is unable to protect the kids. She is too emotional and out of control. Also note that Neptune, the family home ruler, is now moving into the twelfth.

Here is the dose of poison for me. Notice the T Square involving Saturn opposite Jupiter squaring Mercury. What is the short leg of that T? Mercury. And Mercury rules the seventh house. The argument created enormous tension and frustration (the square) which had to find an outlet somewhere. So the outlet became the attacker; the rage was just forced out! The charts show the violence was aimed at Collette first. The attack on her began around 2 am. I say this because the first death pattern emerges at that time, with the Moon in the eighth house combined with Mars just entering the fourth. Saturn in the fifth in this chart tells me the children were locked out; maybe they were even locked in their rooms. The Moon-Mars pattern is telling us that violence occurred that ended in death. Jupiter square Mercury shows direct confrontation between the victim and her attacker. Interestingly enough, this aspect involves the eleventh and second houses, telling me that money was an issue in this murder. It really looks like someone had hopes and dreams that were being squashed by financial burdens. This harkens back to the earlier chart, where we could see that someone was angry about the money that was being spent on hobbies and classes.

Neptune in the twelfth says there is more to the story. Such as, I must ask, who was the person who either went out of the home or came to the home secretly at 1 am? Was this an act done by more than one person? Did someone have help from the outside? Or did Mr McDonald leave the home for a reason, secretly? Such as to retrieve a weapon or some other item he needed? These are questions that perhaps will never be answered. And then, moving on with the times, I want to see when the children come into danger and it is presented in the chart for 3 am. Why someone waited so long between killing mommy and killing the kids is a real quandary but it is a strong case for finding McDonald guilty. Who else could feel secure enough to spend this much time in that house? And who would have reservations about killing the children... only to decide after much consideration that he had no choice? Does this not sound like daddy? But the 3 am window works with what the coroner found, that the kids had died around 3:42 am. So look at the chart for 3 and take note of these pointers. Just after 3 am, Venus takes over the fifth house cusp. Venus is, as she has been all night, under the Sun's beams and near the node. Mars is still lingering in the fourth house squaring the Moon, now in the seventh. Saturn has also entered the fourth, showing that there might be dead people in that house. Also, the death of their mother might have forced the decision to kill them. Saturn, if you recall, was a part of bottleneck of the T square that rules the chart. It looks like the kids were a problem he could not find another way to resolve.

By 3:42 am, Saturn opposes Jupiter on the fourth - tenth house axis. This is a sure sign that everyone in the house is dead. Especially since Saturn now rules the first house. Notice that Mars is just moving out of the fourth house into the third while still ruling the nadir and squaring the Moon in the seventh. The attacker has stepped outside to gather his composure and to consider his options. He thought about taking the family out of the house but decided against it. Mars moving through the third is interesting; they do not know when the 911 call was made but I'd be willing to bet on 5 am or thereabouts because at that time the Moon would reach it's full square with Mars, which would then be still in the third house. He thought a long time about who to call and when and then did it when the Moon nudged him. And so all things considered it looks a lot like McDonald did this. There was someone coming and going from the house earlier in the evening but there are no aspects in the later charts to show that there was more than one person in the house. And who else would be there, arguing with his wife? To top it all off, who would wait over an hour after killing Collette to then decide to go about killing the kids? I think in this case the cops and the courts got it right. Mr. McDonald is where he should be.
